After 2 periods, have to say that #14 and #15 for forwards have been impressive, and I've liked #3 on D. A bit disappointing performance so far from players like #11 who was supposed to be one of the leading players. Goaltending's the best for u16 level in a good while, maybe Finland will finally have a high-end goalie prospect.

Unfortunately, though, it seems like refs really don't want Finland to win. What are the penalties, anyway? 5 to 0?

A very nice and clear feed! Thank You

I've asked before but am not certain of the answer... what exactly did the Finns change to make themselves such a powerhouse in the last decade? Every year there is an elite Finn coming up... such an improved program (not that I thought it was bad before) but the gap between Czech and Finn hockey feels HUGE to me now.

Result aside, what a dominant perfomace by the Czech team, certainly can't recall the last time a Czech junior team has outplayed a good opponent by such margain. Lots of talent in this team, even on defense this time.

Considering that the 2004 age group is supposed to be one of Finland's deepest in a while, this was a pathetic performance. Somehow won, but with play like that, such a thing will not be happening very often.

Despite 4 goals Topias Leinonen was rather good in the net. Jere Lassila is clearly most skilled forward in absence of Kemell and liked Otto Hokkanens hands aswell. Tomi Männistö seems good hard working competitive guy and Topi Rönni was ok twoway center. On defence Aarne Jokinen was rather good. Atleast Kemell, Iisai Pesonen and Lauri Raiman were missing from notable guys

Expected a lot more by this team, but let’s hope they get better...

Defenders were dissapointing... didnt see anyone that would be close to first round consideration at this point and time. Well atleast 2020 and 2021 drafts have good defensmen.

Finland wins both games 5-4 both on overtime

way too early Pohjola leiri/czech games ranking of Finns 2022 class

1. Brad Lambert
2. Joakim Kemell
3. Topias Leinonen
4. Jere Lassila
5. Otto Hokkanen
6. Topi Rönni
7. Otto Salin
8. Lauri Raiman
9. Iisai Pesonen
10. Elmeri Laakso
HM: Kasper Kulonummi
HM: Tommi Männistö
HM: Jani Nyman

Goaltending and special teams made clear difference unfortunately. Goalies in particular were surprisingly bad, some of the goals they have given were truly terrible.

True, but surprisingly pretty good performance, didn't really expect that. It could had been better if they won this last match, but still. Hope the players will develop and getting better.

This Finnish team was missing some high-scoring forwards like Kemell, Raiman, and Vuorio. They all injured or something?

Finland also was missing a top 04 forward Iisai Pesonen. Hm, I guess it's less concerning considering that Finland essentially was missing all their top 6 forwards for the age group, outside of Lassila or something.
