I just hope that Ahokas gets a raise in salary for accepting that replacement coach job on short notice. What a crappy situation to be in. I mean as one of our hero gold medal coaches he has to take this crap job where he can't even decide which players to select into his team. At least next year he knows to avoid picking few players. I guess it's pretty simple to just pick most players of his U18 championship team now, though.

And if you want to find the counterpart of Berry Hill in Finnish soccer circles the overcoachers name is Mika Lehkosuo. Those guys so book wise and 'academic' in th bad sense of the word trying to kill the flow in essence by introducing tactical safety measures in the game one after another. Dogmatics only will never result in a success. Not in art nor sports. That is the endemic problem of too detailed and spesific systemd of rules or 'play books'.
It is incredible these rising 'talented' coaches just don't get it.
Can you write a book on how ti write a masterful book of fiction? Nope. So how could you even in principle lay out a detailed rule book of tactics on how to play masterful hockey? Never. Not really.
One must rise above such signs of insecurity and illusions of control and - in a word - catch the game. Period.
And yes, that's the trick you cannot read or learn from any book. It is trickier than that. Or easier. Depends.
