He did nothing in the 1st 3 games that mattered. Showed his shot 1st time in the 4th game.

Well, if you pushed me for an answer, I would say too that there might have been attitude problems.

So here's hoping they indeed now know that some more effort might be required.

Vesalainen's dgame has been maybe the biggest surprise for me. The lack of it I mean.

I know he's ok defensively for his age for a winger but that was not the player we saw in this tournament.

Sorry to disappoint you but not gonna happen. Despite some eh 'graceful elements' in the game of the Baltic kids, this will be a cake walk for the Finns. And the floodgates will open 100%.
 
I'm doubtful of Young Lions coming in motivated, going to be another sweaty game. The team needs to be purged and all spoiled brats left out of it next year.

The teams needs to be richer in these "spoiled" that is academic parents' brats come the next and the next and so on year. That is the direction for real success for Finnish hockey.

Though I dunno whom are you talking about with that label... Henrik Borgstroem kinda "spoiled brats"?
 
In their blue outfits the FinnKids look to my great delight and surprise a lot better than in white. And Latvia vice versa compared to their violet jerseys n socks. Maybe all is not lost after all but some of the problem was only optically amplified half illusion. Lol

All Finland's games has been tight. Maybe lost here and exciting 3rd game.
 
I guess it's safe to say we won't have a Rantanen/Laine or Pulju story from this years tourney, where a prospect goes back home and lifts his game to another tier.

This tourney has been so ....ng pathetic by us.

Can someone tell me why he is even considered as a 1st round pick? His stats aren't impressive, nor has his play in this tournament.
