I love the ignorance and arrogance in your post (and others).

The Latvian group was incomparably tougher when compared with the Finland group. We faced 3 opponents more talented than ALL of the teams in the other pool.

There's no reason why Finland should steamroll Latvia if they lost to a worse Danish team.
Ignorance and arrogance, you say?

They shouldn't have lost vs Danmark either. They shouldn't have played so poorly in this tournament. This is a team that lost 9-1 to Russia and 10-2 to USA. Finland should be at their level as a team. Even with a B or C team with next to no material Finland has always done well. If you don't understand why I think that they should be doing much better it'd be great if you didn't call me things like that.

Tolvanen, Vesalainen, Valimaki, Heiskanen, Vaakaanainen.

I would think Heiskanen's stock is plummeting, he has either done errors on ice or been competely invisible. Tolvanen and Vesalainen's stock will probably depend on the latter part of season, but I have a really hard time seeing Tolvanen as a top 10 pick. Granted, I don't know the competition, and he is just 17 and even many gifted players don't succeed at this tournament at 17, but his size in connection with a rather poor overall offensive showing probably makes organisations somewhat wary.

I see Finland's shots are up again. After a 51-17 advantage over the Swiss, they're up 37-19 here through two periods. They need better finish or shot selection it would seem.

We haven't been dominated in any of these games but here we are.
Fighting to stay on this level :shakehead

Shouldn't, but they still are playing that way. They are here, in relegation round, just like Latvia. Deservedly. And it is 1:1 in early 3rd.

(No, I'm not even dreaming of winning the game or thinking the Latvian team deserves to stay in Elite over Finns, but that doesn't change the fact that the game is still tied.)

The way Vesalainen has been playing this season 1st round seems like a pipedream. Tho it is a very weak draft overall so it might push him back to there.

Heiskanen been solid in Liiga so that's a potential goldmine if he slips to 2nd round.

edit,

Vesalainen looks like a Chia/Edmonton pick, there's lots of potential but he's no Laine/Pulju.

Heiskanen like Vesalainen is so young and there are so few 17y defenseman in these tourneys that I doubt his draft ranking changes too much.

Last year spoiled us and we are expecting these 17y kids to carry us.

Out of nowhere gravity claims Vaakanainen.

Not too many 17y defenders but Vesalainen is a forward.

Anyways he was "booted" from Frolunda and been awful im HPK after that.

If it wasn't for his name he would be playing in HPK A-Juniors.

Tolvanen might go 1st round, he has a shot. Vesalainen 2nd round or worse

Fixed it for ya :D

I edited it, I read the whole thing as Heiskanen for some reason.

If Vesalainen looks like a 2nd round pick so should Tolvanen then be as well.
It shouldn't be the end of the world if 17y kid isn't good enough for SHL.

I like Vesalainens potential still, again not saying he is Laine or Pulju, but so few are.

Ms. Fortuna has been real b***h for Finns in this tournament. How many post'n'bars already?

Orff and Benny Hill theme mash-up is the new song of our people.

Teemu Pulkkinen had also his shot when he was draft eligible prospect and look what he's now.
Tolvanen isn't like Laine ( no-one isn't) but if he can be a mix of Jeff Skinner and Vladimir Tarasenko it's OK.
