Yes, in terms of effectiveness. My issue with it is that PP1 got almost all the PP time last season. Maybe coach will split the time more fairly this season. The challenge with loading PP1 and giving them almost all the time means, when you get to the playoffs and decide to run a second unit, you have a bunch of players that haven’t much time running it.

It’s also easier for your opponent to figure out one PP unit vs two in a 7 game series.

If your PP can get figured out it’s already over. Everyone knows Ovechkin is going to blast shots from the circle, everyone knows McDavid is going to do McDavid stuff or Drai is going to blast shots from the circle, the difference is they can’t do a thing about it. The focus should be getting Matthews and Nylander to that point.
