Yeah, Zadina is a lot of not so great things, but lazy he isn’t. He absolutely has the drive and desire to be an NHLer, just doesn’t have the brain.
At this point in his D+5 there's no way you can say he's not a bust.

Sure because the length of a thread here at hfboards definitely correlates with how accurate and intelligent the initial claim is.
I'm still baffled why people care about one sentence a prospect said 6 years ago. If people are looking to pile on Zadina, there's no way they could be harder on him than Wings fans already are.

WAY to simple of a definition. Alexander daigle widely considered to be the biggest bust didnt bust with this definition. Bust is relative to expectation. Top forward prospect from draft with career high 24 points. Zadina busted hard
A 6th overall with a career high 24pts is absolutely a bust. Hes also a borderline NHL player who wouldn't get this much leeway if he wasn't drafted so high

So what do you consider a player taken 3rd overall with a career high of 37 points and the next pick was Brady Tkachuk?

I actually don’t think I’ve seen a more minor thing be so widely remembered/getting into so many fans’ heads. Do they post this thread every month to annoy Wings fans? I don’t think anyone understands how disappointing he has been more than us.

He's still just 23, on the 1st year of a 3-year contract.

Btw I’m not in the camp that is mad about his comment. I think it’s awesome
he showed personality it’s all about entertainment.

I used to make fun of people on reddit who would grovel and whine about downvotes on the site...seeing someone take that to a different site altogether is on another level lmao
First of all, he doesn't have athletic ability, and that kills the rest, especially self-confidence.
If he ends up being a 50 point player, he'd be more of just a disappointment for his draft position

It'd be weird if a fans of a team that had nothing to do with Kotkaniemi kept a thread going on the main boards about him, because who cares.
I'm guessing they do. They just don't keep posting about him on the main boards.
It's weird how triggered some people are by something an 18 year old said 6 years ago.

kotkaniemi is talked about like crazy because of the offer sheet. Way more than zadina. But I agree with the majority of this post. People get way too triggered
