If the Sens choose to re-sign Forsberg and go into next season with a Murray/Forsberg tandem, Gustavsson will need to go through waivers to make it to Belleville, which is unlikely.

He has a 1-way contract next year but it's only at 0.7875M. He was lights-out last year on a bad Sens team, less so this year on an even worse team. Solid AHL numbers the last couple years.

What could the Sens get for him from a team looking for a cheap backup next year with the potential to be more?

100%. Forsberg won't be resigned. He's been great but Sens have been burned too many times with short term success of goalies leading to contract extensions. Look at Hammond and Condon for starters.

I don't know if I'm comfortable going into next season with just Murray/Gustavsson given Murray's injury history.

Not by a long shot. He has the best save percentage of the three in his starts in 2022 and in 2021. Difference is he played all his games in 2021 when the team played the worst team defense in over 20 years. He has had 1 start in the new year and was phenomenal. Murray's erratic behavior has had him up and down like a yo yo it's been terrible for his development. He needs to just play somewhere consistently.

If they have to get rid of one of them it's gotta be Murray. Gustavsson is the last of the three they should consider trading. Murray barely played at the start of the season, when he did he was so bad he got sent down.

Keep him. Hand on to three goalies if you must and risk losing Forsberg. I don't think a wise GM keeps Forsberg over Gusty.
