I know there's threads but with everyone seeming to think this is a done deal after Giroux play 1000, I'm interested to see what everyone thinks the Flyers return will be?

My guess is Denisenko, Tippett and Carlsson. Fair?

I think that's reasonable, I'm not even being stingy, I don't know what else Florida has to give up, no more picks are left lol. Panthers farm:

Lots of people are so sure he ends up there! All we have is a rumor that he prefers to go there

I would say no. I think Giroux definitely gets a first ++ here. Flyers need rebuilding pieces. And I’m sure a suitor is available out there for that type of ask. Tippett is Amazing. I want him on the Ducks asap. But seeing Flyers in the rebuild mode and trading their captain? I don’t see prospects being the money maker for them to say “yes” on. They would want to home bake on the picks they choose

It kinda sucks? Because I know Boston would kill for Giroux or Pittsburgh. Both need scoring forwards. Hopefully they find someone in the west who can use em. Blues?!? You have been silent recently! That’s not like you to be silent at the deadline

Yah his NTC makes things complicated. I really could see him going West. With Avs going all in? There has to be another GM that will compete with Sakic for the top west spot. And Giroux is a veteran who can get you to that plateau. It’s up to him ultimately if he wants the westward swing or not

Here's where you're wrong though: The Flyers are run by absolute morons who are on the record blaming this season on injuries and saying they don't think they need to rebuild. Just, for the millionth time in the last decade, they need to "retool."

They've been scouting the AHL teams of potential suitors (Florida, Colorado) very heavily. They are absolutely going to prioritize prospects who they feel can step into NHL roles in the short term, rather than picks. They've all but said that out loud.

Who knows? Maybe he's a guy who'd be willing to waive to go to almost any contending destination. (Or at least a few!) It would just be for a few months, then he can reevaluate over the summer.

I just look at Florida's roster and think adding Giroux is gravy. Obviously he'd be an awesome add to any team but they might be better off doing something a bit smaller, if anything at all. Maybe Chiarot was their big move.... (IMO, they might be wise to save some of their futures and what few picks they still have to help navigate their cap issues this summer)

Sadly, youre not wrong. Tippett and a 3rd bc it's Chuck Fletcher. He will certainly botch trading Giroux.

Probably better than anything else we are going to get at this point.
