76 playoffs, I was a teen, first NHL playoff game, Sittler scored 5 goals. I was in the golds close enough to see the faces of Ballard and King Clancy in their bunker. The way the Flyers were allowed to brutalize Salming was unreal for three straight playoff years. It seemed that greatness was on the cusp, and then Hal got stupid and crazy.

Definitely Matthews bleeding during his presser today haha.

But also Phil finally solving Rask and the B's in the playoffs. Man what a ride that was.

ive got a few odd ones that haven't been listed yet... some obscure some wrong. some awesome but memories non the less

Domi's pinball launch too niedermier ... still cant believe how fast and hard that was.

any of Belfour's freak out were classic

anything to do with burns. he had some great interactions.. a lot not very friendly

the joy of watching almo and sundin together

orr and McLaren rag dolling the habs. still have the mpeg on my desk top

and since no one mentioned.

HFBOARDS leaf branch... some of the wickedest comments come from out topics :D

For me, Leafs fan since 2010:

Game 2,5 and 6 against Boston

When the leafs drafted Rielly in 2012 at Pittsburgh, I was there

Every game we won against Ottawa and Montreal since 2010 especially Bozak's hat trick last year (vs Ottawa
)
When the leafs drafted Marner in 2015

When the leafs won the lottery in 2016 and they drafted Matthews in 2016

Game 7 against Boston up until the half way mark of the third.

Sorry for bringing up that loss in this thread guys but that was my first season watching the leafs and i just haven't missed any games since.

lol i was just going to say that. I had to go somewhere that day and had to listen on the radio. I was so pumped when the Leafs were up 4-1 and then it went downhill from there.......

Domi's launch into Niedermayer would rank high in the lowlights of Leaf history in my lifetime, a terribly selfish hit provoked or not. Turned the series momentum around. Domi was a premier enforcer but that was a terrible gaffe.

That Stumpy goal is the one I came to post.

That Roberts OT goal... I was at a party that night and although the game ended well... I did not.

I don't remember a time where Harold wasn't crazy or stupid.
Or greedy for that matter. He robbed the franchise from its original owners, the Smythe's. He went to jail for tax evasion in the early 70's. He also embezzled money from the MLG.

The Maple Leafs would have been much better off, if Stafford hadn't become buddies with Hal.

Of the recent times?

Game 7.

That was the best Leaf game of hockey I have watched since the Philadelphia series with Sundin, Belfour etc.

I don't care if we ended up on the wrong side of it, that whole feeling, that whole game was legendary.

Before that? Beating Ottawa multiple times, and Sundin's OT winner against Carolina.

I'll also toss this one in.

It just gave that throwback feel to the Burns and Quinn eras. Seeing Kessel take swings at Scott, and then bloody up the Sabres player in a fight was pretty cool.

Bernier clocking Miller was awesome too.

The game vs the Wings Clark vs Probert x3

I give credit to Probert because he played his role on his team perfectly.

But #17 in his prime was a reason i loved the Leafs growing up. :yo:

No need to be sorry. Sometimes you win. Sometimes you lose.

That wasn't one of the more pleasant experiences. What a shocker!
Lucic, pretty much turned the game around himself, coming back to beat us. I was so ticked, I thought I was going to explode.

Lol I know I was actually thinking about the next round after that kessel to Naz goal, was a nice series though.

Most senior leaf fans I meet say that the season was a good summary of emotions you expect with this team.
Hope to see a more steady improvement curve with Babs in charge.

I agree, despite the outcome, that series was filled with incredible hockey. Especially games 4-7

Battle of Ontario playoff series.

Getting owned by the Sens during the regular season(s) and beating them over and over in the playoffs. That one series against them when Eddie stood on his head was great... they must of felt so cheated lol. Oh yeah, and Darcy Tucker attacking their bench, that was epic too.

I don't remember seeing Kads goal from Kessel. I thought the Leafs had the B's cooked....until that utter meltdown in the third!:amazed:
We had them. Credit Lucic for taking the reins.

It was a great series though, that we could have won...but didn't of course. With some very talented young guys we have coming up, let's hope coach Mike will ensure a total breakdown won't happen again.:)

I know it's sorta weird but one of my favourite moments was when Sylvain Lefebvre shot the puck into Potvin's back and into his own net with time expiring in the series winning game.

We still won 4-2 but it was just so crazy and always stuck in my mind.

It's one of those, "we can all laugh about it now" kind of favourite moments.

Vaguely remember that. Still not as bad as Bryan McCabe shooting the puck into his own net, to ensure his own team lost that night.
