I saw the stat that had Lundqvist getting 100 like 50 games faster than Richter, but does anyone know what the fastest overall is? (yea shootouts skew it, but still)
It wasn't 50 games fast.... Lundqvist got 100 W's in 187 G's and Richter in 198.
I don't know if that fastest in the NYR or the NHL though.
I could be dead wrong... but I mean you would have to assume that it had to be one of the 2 guys who were about to accomplish the 30-30-30 in the first 3 years...
Chris Osgood had 99 wins after 157 games...

i like where you're heads at, good call but what if, for arguments sake someone had 40-40-20 (something like that..)
brodeur would have done that if it werent for the lockout.
Brodeur was a platoon goalie his first full season.
Well this is a little unfair to the other goalies mentioned in this thread. Lundqvist has the SO working in his favor.
But, all other goalies mentioned in this thread weren't even close to do it in their first three seasons either. Lundqvist walked right into the 1st goalie position.Exactly. To get a true comparison, all Hank's SO wins would have to be counted as ties.

Yes, he was.... and the lockout comment doesn't make sense anyway. This whole thread is referencing 100 wins in a goaltenders first X amount of games played, not X number of seasons.

statement was made for henrik being the second 30-30-30 goalie. Even though, i was incorrect broduer only had 27 wins his first season, but in 47 games.....
the answer is Bill Durnan with the habs in the 40s...he did it in 139 games
