Where is a good place to grab a beer before the game?

http://jtschmidsrestaurants.com/

JT Schmids is right across the street from the Honda Center. You will see lots of fans in Ducks jerseys as well as the jersey of the opponent. Lots of plasma screens with hockey and other sports on.

http://www.hooters.com/home.aspx

Hooters is a 7 minute walk from Honda Center.

http://www.throwbackssportsbar.com/Home

Throwbacks sports bar is a 7 minute drive and 32 minute walk from Honda Center per Google Maps.

Do the Ducks provide any entertainment outside the arena while we wait for the doors to open?

http://ducks.nhl.com/club/page.htm?id=44510

Come out to The Hockey Spot for the pregame activities in Lot 3 on the North side of Honda Center before all Saturday and Sunday home games. The Hockey Spot is open 2 hours prior to the start of the game and welcomes fans of all ages. Gather at The Hockey Spot to participate in interactive hockey games and other family activities.

Can I get into the Jack Daniel's Old No. 7 Club during the game?

The club is a private restaurant available for Club and Suite patrons only. If you buy a club level seat, you are in! The club opens up to everyone after the game, and you can see post-game shows occuring here.

Is there public transportation to get from Los Angeles/Staples Center to Anaheim/Honda Center?

You can look into Metrolink or Amtrak:

http://www.metro.net/index.asp

http://www.amtrak.com

It is much easier to just rent a car though.

Where can I get Ducks tickets?

There are lots of websites. Also not a lot of sellouts, so you can buy tickets at the Honda Center box office the day of the game.

What else is there to do in Anaheim?

Need to kill a few hours before the game? There is a Century 25 movie theater within walking distance of Honda Center. There is also a AMC theater at Downtown Disney.

http://www.cinemark.com/
http://www.amcentertainment.com/

If you have time to do the tourist thing. Disneyland and Disney's California Adventure theme parks are less than a 10 minute drive from Honda Center. Downtown Disney is located in the same place. Places to eat include ESPN Zone and Rainforest Cafe.

http://disneyland.disney.go.com/disneyland/en_US/home/home?name=HomePage&bhcp=1

There is another theme park 15 to 20 minutes up the freeway in Buena Park. Knott's Berry Farm.

Where should I stay in Anaheim?

There are lots of hotels in Anaheim, shop around on all the travel sites:

Expedia.com
travelocity.com
orbitz.com
kayak.com
priceline.com
hotels.com

The hotel right across the street from the Honda Center is:

Ayres Hotel Anaheim

http://www.ayreshotels.com/orange-county/hotel-anaheim.aspx

It's about $120 a night + tax, fees.

Hi I just got into town and am wondering if JT's or Throwbacks would allow me to watch the Canucks-Coyotes game tonight? Or some other place. I'm staying near S. Harbour & Katella.

Hey I know the game is already started, but yes I think both of them would be able to put that game on.

Do Infants need Tickets to see Ducks?

My friend has an infant (almost 1).

Would I need to get a ticket to get him into ducks games? Especially pre-season games..

Thank!

2 and under are free. They are considered "lap seat". I took my daughter last year and didn't have to pay.

Heads up to all who are gonna hit up Bluewater Grill at Honda Center. I payed $11 for the Shrimp and Chips and only got 3 shrimps. Do not waste your money here.

Jack Daniels Club restaurant

Hello,

my wife and I are huge Thrasher fans (though we cheer for the Ducks as our fav 'late night west coast' team) and are heading into town for the game on the 15th vs. Atlanta.

We have club level seats and I was thinking of spending maybe one period of the game having a sit down dinner at the restaurant.

Was hoping to get some insight from Ducks fans about the Jack Daniels Club experience. Are there tables that offer a great view of the game (or is it more like a bar than a restaurant)? If so can I/Do I need to make a reservation to get one of these tables? Dress code?

What are the best items on the menu to eat? Is the dining experience worth the money spent there?

I appreciate any insights y'all can offer.

with kind regards,
-Evil Genius

My wife took me last year for my birthday. Our reservation was for 6pm, but we really didn't need one. We ate in the restaurant part, and out table had a clear view of the ice (A lot of tables don't). Get the buffet. The made to order food is almost the same price if not more. The buffet was $36 each I think, but was really damn good. As far as dress code, wore jeans and a jersey.

I am heading to Anaheim in the third week of December (woooo!). That's the same week that the Ducks play the Capitals. I am not sure how popular Duck tix are in California. Will I be able to get tickets the day of at the Honday Center or should I buy tickets now? And around how much should I pay for them?

Thanks!

Thanks for the info, I will be attending my 1st game at Honda Center on Friday 11/5 vs. Pittsburgh. My plan is to spend the day at Disneyland with my gf and then Ducks at night. Is it worth getting the park hopper, if I would be leaving the park around 5 or so? Or is one park enough for an entire morning and afternoon?

Thanks.

If you want to go on all the rides, I would do one park a day. Also depending on what hotel you are staying at, I always park across the freeway at the Hooters and walk. It's not very far and parking is $5 vs. $15 to park at the Ponda.

I would search ebay or use the ticketmaster ticket exchange and get them now. I'm sure they won't sell out, but the sooner you look, the better seats you can probably get.

Most of the rides you will want to do are at Disneyland. California Adventure only has a few good ones and you could run through it in a couple hours, while Disneyland will take over a day to go completely through. So with only a day i would save the money and just hit up Disneyland.

I'm pretty sure you can buy tickets the day of the game at this point. Might not be the best seats though.

Haven't looked at prices lately.

Hi Ducks fans, I'm going to the Islanders game on Nov 10th. I'll be staying in Hollywood and I'm planning to take the train (the Pacific Surfliner) to and from the Honda Center. The last train departures from Anaheim at 10:18 pm, I guess that should possible to catch with a game starting at 7 pm? If not, any other options to get to Downtown LA/Hollywood after the game (without having a car)?

Thanks in advance. :)

As long as the game doesn't go into OT, you "should" be fine.

That's also my worry. Oh well, in the worst case scenario I can probably find a hotel room. Or maybe I'll just end up renting a car.

If it's close you may have to run. The train station is about a 1/2 mile from Honda Center. I park in the same parking lot where the train station is. I'm fat American and can get there pretty fast, so I'm sure a skinny European can get there a lot faster.

Then I should be just fine. If there's something I am, it's skinny.

Thanks:)

Just see how long it takes you to walk from the station to Honda Center and then you'll know you need to leave X minutes before 10:18 at the latest

Do you know when the best time to get the Ducks and visiting teams autograph? And do I get them at the Honda Center since I think they'll go in the Honda Center?

which seats are better?

Section 406 in row A (Front row but in the corner of the Terrace)
Section 411 in row J (Center ice but farther back)

Which seats are better do you think?
