Fan claiming ownership of Shohei Ohtani's 50-50 home run ball files lawsuit to stop auction

Max Matus, 18, says the ball was 'forcefully taken away' from him during the Sept. 19 game.

Poor kid's got zero chance of that suit going forward, it'll get tossed out for sure.

If there was video showing he stood up holding the ball and then the other guy just ripped it out of his hands and ran, then I could certainly see justification, but it's multiple people scrambling for a loose ball. Tough break.

I know I'd be pretty devastated if I came that close to a massive windfall only to walk away with nothing.
