RULES: Each poll will remain open for 2 days. In the case of a tie within the top 10, I'll create a 24-hour runoff poll to decide the winner. Ties outside of the top 10 will just be left as ties. Each new poll, I will add the most commented "next to add" prospect (or the top 2 for ties outside of the top 10).

ELIGIBILITY:
All players who meet the HF prospect criteria are included. A prospect is eligible for inclusion if--
  • He has not yet completed his age 24 season and has no more than 65 games played (skater) or 45 games played (goalie); or
  • If signed from a European league or the NCAA at age 22 or older, he has played no more than 65 games (skater) or 45 games (goalie) within 3 years of signing, regardless of age.
  • Note: Olofsson's eligibility is based on the 22+ signing rule. Had Covid not cut last season short, he would've graduated out of eligibility, but, as it stands, he's got 5 games of "prospect" status remaining. As much as I agree with many of you that he isn't really a prospect any more, the eligibility criteria sets a bright-line rule that I'm going to stick to.
NEXT TO ADD: Comment the player you want to see added to the next poll. Borgen won the last thread.

Prospects eligible to be added (let me know if you spot any I've missed or messed up the eligibility on!):
  • Forwards: Lukas Rousek, Matteo Constantini, Linus Weissbach, Brandon Biro, Filip Cederqvist, Brett Murray, Aaron Huglen, Jakub Konecny, Vasili Glotov, Marcus Davidsson, Dawson DiPietro, Andrew Oglevie
  • Defensemen: Oskari Laaksonen, Miska Kukkonen, Linus Cronholm, Albert Lyckasen, Casey Fitzgerald, Philip Nyberg, William Worge Krue
  • Goalies: Erik Portillo

JJ, add Laaksonen

Really don't know how this isn't Arttu
Probably because its still early. Great start to the year but with the PP and SH goals, I wonder if thats sustainable.

I'm guessing he's not that far behind everyone's votes though, even if just 2 votes so far doesn't look good

What the hell happened that caused UPL's stock to plummet faster in one season than Casey's did? Did he look like a bad FPHL goalie in the ECHL and AHL or something? Seriously, I've seen prospect lists where he is barely top 10, what happened?

he was recovering from surgery and played subpar. This is the year that makes or breaks him IF their is an AHL season that is

I think stat-watchers went to sleep on him because he didn't dominate the AHL, but he was coming off a double hip surgery, which is roughly the goalie equivalent of getting Tommy Johns--it takes a while to come all the way back. I'm definitely still a believer in his talent, and I think we'll see very good things from him this year.

Nyberg seems to not be in the Sabres plans but he’s a guy who could be a solid 5/6 in the NHL.
