Don't think so, eliteprospects has different birthplaces and youth teams, but maybe a Russian poster would know for sure.

Looking forward to seeing Sokolov play this season, won't have any superstar forwards or anything to play with but a solid hard working group of 20 year olds and some young guns who are looking to progress offensively, should fit in nicely.
 
2+1 in his first 3 Q regular season games with 17 shots on goal, kid loves to shoot the puck.

He's real heavy at 6'3 222, and not the greatest skater but you can see the goal scoring potential he has.
 
He loves to score. If he gets some wheels under him he could be a big time Q player and get a good look at pro. Adapted well to the physical play of the north American game.
 
He's an excellent shooting talent. Plays physical, skates well, not terrible defensively. He's a 2nd round pick, IMO.

In the end Blue Jackets decided to not to sign him, as he was released from try-out.
 
Looks good to start the Season. He's slow but a solid finisher, and is fantastic at protecting the puck. Shocked nobody took a flyer on him in the later rounds.
 
Hope he gets drafted in the future. Really good player and he’s gonna help Cape Breton if they have a Memorial Cup rush next season.
 
3 GWG's in the first round of the playoffs.

He's an interesting player and has improved every year he's been in Cape Breton, can't wait to see him next year as a 19 year old on a team that should be loading up.
