I think it's more about who he trusts to not hurt the team.part of me wonders if rod's choices sometimes suppress talent
He doesn’t call anyone up to play top six, he promotes from within. Someone from the bottom six gets moved up, and the minors replacement takes the spot of the bottom six guy that moves up. I agree with you as a it can be frustrating but it’s part of the reason the guys go through a wall for Rod. The lineup that plays is the lineup he trusts the most, and no one that hasn’t earned it is going to play over you. If you work hard and the guy above you goes down….you get your chance. Lots of honor in it. Lots of frowny faces for fans that want to see prospects.part of me wonders if rod's choices sometimes suppress talent
in his first call up, Jost played with resolve and I suspect that’s what RBA wants to replace Drury.I’d love to see Suzuki but this is why Jost is here. We need more injuries to see deeper into the Wolves lineup, or for Jost to play poorly. He’s earned this spot with Rod, he isn’t going to lose it without some effort.
If we recall Rod’s first year wasn’t it guys like Brown that got called up over people we wanted to see? This is the standard. This is also how you get first line McGinn.
