A very interesting kid out of Minnesota for the 2026 NHL draft is Luke Puchner. He is an interesting 2008 born forward that is a pretty good baseball player too.
Puchner is a big and strong power forward that uses his size and speed to outmuscle his opponents on the way to the net. He scores a lot of goals and wrecks havok in front of the net with his size and strength. He also makes very smart plays showcasing a strong hockey IQ. He should be in strong consideration for the NTDP and reminds me of Rutger McGroarty at the same age. It should be interesting to see him progress moving forward.

Swiss army knife style of player. Good in board battles and good hockey sense. Plays a complimentary game and can do some of the dirty work for a line. Has enough skill and skating ability. He's only 5'11. Won't be a high draft pick, but someone I think could get his name called in two years. He's a Lincoln draft pick in the USHL, so there's a good chance he could play some games for them this upcoming season.
