Should be a high pick come the 2024 OHL Draft - has been playing up a year and been one of the best players on his team in the process for around 2 years now. Extremely intelligent forward with good playmaking ability he already has good size for a player his age and is a very good skater. Should be interesting to see where things go from here.

Shoulr also note he is producing at a rate that would allow him to have one of the best U15 seasons in ETAHL history.

Honestly - if this kid was to play All year - I think there would have been some Exceptional status talk around him. Don’t think he would have got it but he has been that good this season after coming back.

Made a rather in depth thread on twitter about his game after watching all of his games at the OHL cup. If you want to learn more about his game it’s definitely worth the read/watch.

Seem to be two elite '08 centres coming up in Ontario with Hawery and Valentini. Do you have a preference for the game/skillset of one over the other at this point having seen them? Are they in the same tier in your mind?

Same tier.
Valentini is more of a playmaker. He’s a great facilitator of offence.

Where as Hawery is more of a goal scorer amd has the better two-way game.

Both kids are going to be fantastic going forward.

Seems like a typical London talent steal based on the early talent evaluations. Even if he had fallen from the very top 2 or 3 of the Ontario ‘08 class to just a first round type player in the province - am I ignorant for thinking him developing in the Knights org almost automatically makes him a legit “to watch” for the NHL draft in a couple of years?

Did he drop due to fears that he would go to the USHL?
He dropped because of rumours he was going to Sherwood Park In the BCHL.
He dropped because he didn’t have that good of a season relative to others in the region.
From the sounds of it, he had a disappointing season relative to expectations but he would have absolutely been a top-10 selection had there not been rumours of him going elsewhere

Thanks that clears things up alot more as he seems still worthy of a top 10 selection on talent alone.

That being said I wonder where he plays next season.

With London not able to get their first round pick last year to show up, i doubt they’d pick a kid that wouldn’t show up. Probably used the “rumours” to get to London.
