To me, Linus Skager (http://www.cuponline.se/statistics.asp?class_id=2688&sumstats=) had a more impressive tournament (notice he's playing for a 00-team) (MOD: than MEP). 11 goals and 18 points while the 2nd guy on his team had 7 points. I had never heard of the guy before and I will certainly not start hyping him now.

Similarities, Comparisons

I doubt those are the top teams in Sweden, considering who's missing, nevertheless...

I saw him in that one game they won and he did stand out but he was not spectacular. Actually I liked his teammate Kristian Röykås Marthinsen equally much. And regarding the tournament in general there actually was a player born 00 who outscored him (Linus Skager, Forshaga).

Interesting to check some stats, Mathias Emilio Pettersen (2000) and Linus Skager(2000) have very similar stats, they also have played together in Sweden Selects and will this summer play together in Philadelphia, USA with Sweden Selects.

Here are some statistics from tournaments, both of them have played:

The fact that Skager has played a game against Men at barely 15 is crazy.

The sheer amount of threads and names popping up of 2000 born players is unbelievable. The amount of talent coming up is off the charts in the Hockey World.

I dont remember starting this thread. :help:

At the time of the game he was actually 14.

What do you think of Linus Skager, will be interesting to see which elite team he chooses?

Interesting stats of him and i see similarities he and Emilio Pettersen.

Victor Stark another to keep an eye on the future! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wHKkM1oGOgg

I don't even know if he's the best 00-FW from Sweden. Looks like a great year for Sweden! Guys like Lukas Wernblom, Finn-Olsson, Fagemo, Bäck to name a few. And the D looks even better with Rasmus Sandin and Adam Boqvist at the top.

Wernblom and Sandin already listed as top prospects 2018 on Eliteprospects.

Phenomenal shot.

Guys who dodge their teammates for the big celly irk me, obviously he's just a kid but one of the things that really stood out to me for other child-stars like MEP or Iguchi is the visible humility on the ice in regards to actively and consistently setting up teammates.

Not that a high end scorer who can put the game on their back is any less valuable but muh intangibles.

I wouldn't start hyping any 14 year old that isn't playing at a high level yet. Let's see first how he does in J18 Elit next season.

William Eriksson, Filip Olsson look good too on Forshaga, what is certain is it is too early to judge any before reaching a higher level.

Linus Skager has debuted in Forshaga A-team in Division 1! With me, it's high level?

I can agree that one gets to see next season when he plays J18 elit

That's a high level for sure. It's hard to compare him to other players his age when everyone plays in different lower level leagues. He's eligible for the same draft as Isak Lundeström who's already playing well in the J20 Superelit playoffs.

The 99 & 00 groups are looking good. We will know more when they start facing international competition.

Linus Skager was during the last week in the Czech and test played with Örebro and won points league, by far, the other teams in the tournament was not so good but good statistics anyway for being a year younger.

He has a really good season behind him, he has played in J18 and scored 2 points per game! He won the point league in Axima Cup, which is played for 18 year olds and younger!
