I’m a bit surprised there’s no thread on Karabela. So here it is.

My perspective, Karabela is a top talent who’s been looked over. He played as well, or better than some of the top picks in the 2020 OHL draft. He played previously on a much-left-to-be-desired Guelph Jr. Gryphons team, and I feel had he been in the GTHL he would have been a no question top 5 pick. Watch for him to make an immediate impact with the Storm, and possibly his stock rise quickly.

Storm fan here with a lot of viewings. Jake is highly underrated. The fact that he is a 2 way forward make his numbers deceiving. It was apparent in the CHL/NHL prospects game where he had a couple of points. He is relentless on the forecheck, above average on the face off. Plays the game exceptionally both offensively and defensively, no cheating for offense here. His ability to find the lane and position himself well means he'll put up points at the next level, also not afraid to use thr body and come up with pucks.
