This kid is filthy. Reminds me of Datsyuk in that way. Two Russian forwards with magic hands, but their dekes are completely different.
what moves from him, just sick.
I have him 12th since 2 months. I'm surprised at his rank on the lists. Yes it will slip but with good reason.Any chance he slides like Michkov did?
It all depends if he extends with SKA or not. If he commits to NA. I think he goes top 5.Any chance he slides like Michkov did?

Maybe that’s why they treat him that way, because he already said he won’t sign.Given the way they treat him I doubt he'll resign.

Catton is also very good offensively. I think both are going to be two of the best players from this draft.Seeing Catton ahead of him on some lists... get that garbage outta here.
Don't understand this sense of self-entitlement. He isn't dominating the MHL and have no reasons to take offence at not being promoted to the VHL at the moment.Given the way they treat him I doubt he'll resign.

Isn't dominating?
Demidov is currently top 10 in points/game in the MHL.
Statistically speaking, it’s the norm for players of that echelon to also get KHL/VHL playing time.
This kid's puck skills and creativity are off the charts, but is anyone else concerned with the stagnation in his skating? His lateral mobility with the puck is great, but his feet are beginning to look "heavy", heavier than they looked last year.
It looks like he's added a fair amount of weight in the last year or so, so maybe that's slowed him down? He does look more powerful, but I'd love to see him with more active footwork. He's great at what I call "static dangling", where he's beating guys with his hands and lateral movement, while keeping both feet on the ice. That works great against lower level dmen, but it's really hard to beat NHL defenders with stationary feet these days (it's doable, but it takes a very particular set of skills, skills Trevor Zegras has acquired over a very long career...)
I'm really high on his upside, but I do wonder if scouts see some of these issues. I could definitely see him sliding a bit in the draft, justified or not.
