So if the Hawks get the top pick this year do they pass on a player again who can play with Bedard and draft Shaeffer, who’s probably the BPA, or at least a clear future 1D, which Levshunov is not (a clear future 1D)?

At least they'd have a solid D core. They'll have to get bigger up front, especially with getting a young power forward. But they have to follow the 8 player model:

1C, 2C, PF, 1W, Two way D, PMD, Shutdown D, elite goalie

When are we expecting his NHL debut and what kind of production should we expect in his first 5 years?
I am pretty confident he will play in the NHL next year and his production will depend on his ice time+ role but IMO he should have a good shot at being used on the first line + top PP (it will be between him or Slafkovsky) if not maybe 2nd line + 2nd waive PP.
I think if he is used on the top line + PP, above 60pts is a good target for his rookie season otherwise if 2nd line maybe more between 40 to 60.
Then maybe expect a progression over 4 years, from 60 pts to around 90 pts after his 5 first season. I think he also has outside chance at 100 pts and become the franchise player of the habs but I will stay more conservative and say from 80pts to 90pts after his first 5 seasons.
So my optimistic prediction.
Season 1. 60
Season 2. 65
Season 3. 70
Season 4. 80
Season 5. 90

Pessimistic:
Season 1. 40
Season 2. 45
Season 3. 50
Season 4. 60
Season 5. 70

It's my projection. If you don't like it, feel free to make yours.
I think he’ll be much closer to your optimistic totals than the pessimistic ones . Hard to see him getting 40 pts unless buried; which doesn’t seem likely with a young lineup / rebuild on the fly happening. 60 ish sounds right as a rookie

I agree. Hence why I labelled it pessimistic. I think him being slowly integrated to the lineup is not impossible. My reasoning for the pessimistic projection is based on other top players like Cooley, Slafkovsky, Carlsson who had similar numbers than my projection in their first season and had similar pedigree, I used Michkov/Celebrini for my optimistic. Anyway nothing is linear, if you look at Stutzle, Pastrnak or Kucherov first few seasons you would not believe what they have now become at their peak. It's not impossible with top prospect to see a player going with 40 pts in their first season and then have 80 pts their 2nd season.

Seeing what Celebrini and Michkov are doing this year, I think Demidov will be around ppg in his rookie nhl season.

He will be playing on a line with Laine and Dach, so he'll have a lot of talent to work with. He will start on the 2nd pp unit (with Dach, Matheson, Newhook, and Gallagher/Heineman), but will eventually be put on the 1st unit.
