Definitely the type of kid that gets drafted at the end of the first round I’d say. Similar to Bystedt/Edstrom.

Offence is limited, but could be a valuable role player in the NHL.
I agree that he probably gets taken there, feels like that type of player.

I would personally argue against on principle, don't really think that's a valuable bet(or non-bet in his case). Not sure I believe he can be much more than "a guy".

Who do you like most out of Gastrin, Nilson and Genborg? Seems like they could all get drafted around the same area...

First round might be kind of high then, unless the team drafting him is convinced of his 4th line energy guy floor?

I just don't see NHL offense there and probably not much AHL offense, just a banger.

What's his 2 way game like?

Kid is good, i really love him. Physical and relentless. He constantly outworks his opponents and brings the hard skills to his line. His forecheck is very good, probably the best part of his defensive game, and he can create chaos around the net. Offensive upside is not that great, puck skills and passing ability are below average, but he plays the way i want my bottom of lineup players to play. I feel he's smart enough to eventually be a good complimentary guy who drives the net and wins a ton of puck battles along the walls at the pro level, his off puck positioning is also really helping him a lot in the OZ. The type of player every coaches love to have on their side come playoff time.

I personnally have him in the 25-40 range, he's at the end of my top 32 right now.

In my eyes it's very close between Gästrin and Nilson, Nilson is a very likeable player all over the eyes, and I do think he might have slightly more upside. He is way weaker physically, but not "mentally", meaning he doesn't play like it. I have a feeling he can get a massive jump just by getting stronger. I think he overall makes more "interesting" things happen over the ice as well.

Gästrin is more solid right now, and I haven't seen enough people mention the fact that his transition game is very good as well. I know he wasn't the main guy on his line, but one of the reasons he looked like an animal internationally and especially at the Hlinka was because he was very good at setting his high skill wingers up for success.

If I had to say one at this very second I might take Nilson, but I could honestly be convinced either way. It's very very close in my eyes. I don't watch the non-swedes, so I can't say for sure, but to me they both feel like late first rounders. Neither is a high end finisher or something like that, but both have a solid chance of becoming very positive contributors.

I agree with what you stated. He is fine both ways, but I don't think he has some type of defensive prowess that is going to elevate him either. He will probably be a very solid non-NHL professional imo. Even if he somehow grinds himself up to the NHL I personally see enough upside to feel like he should be someone you use a 1st round pick on.
