He has a unsurprisingly phenomenal year and has been lights out at the OHL cup. Top-3 talent for this OHL draft class.

So you thinking Rooebroeck/Schaefer/Martin assuming Moore goes the US route? Of course understanding the machinations of the OHL don’t ensure the top talents go in order.

Yeah - at this point I’d say any of those 3 could go first overall.

Moore would be in this tier but he‘ll accept the NTDP invite.

That’d be my top 3.

Looks to be going 3rd overall to the Soo.

Question is, does he report? Or try to force a trade?

Martin deserves a bump. #15 in McKeen's latest rankings and more and more I'm seeing him in that top 15-20 range. His counting stats are hovering around PPG which doesn't seem amazing, but Soo are a tremendously low scoring team and he leads them as a 17 year-old. And by all accounts he does everything else a coach wants on the ice even when not scoring.

In a draft year that is looking pretty soft after the first 7-8 names, I think you are looking at a kid who may not have the physical traits to get into the top 10 - but seems like a very sturdy bet to be in that mid-1st range.

Anybody with some more recent scouting reports of his play in the OHL this season?

Scored a hat-trick last night including the OT winner, and Pronman has him ranked 14th in the latest rankings. At this point I’d be shocked if he’s not a top 20 pick.
