In the championship of the Volga region u18, where mostly boys born in 06 play, the Ak-Bars team, for which Pustovoy plays, confidently takes first place in the upper subgroup, where the rivals are strong teams such as Salavat Yulaev (Ufa), Torpedo (Nizhny Novgorod ), Lada (Togliatti). Pustovoy is not only the top scorer in his team, but also heads the list of top scorers in the entire championship. In particular, he is ahead of such a strong player as Viktor Fedorov, who also plays in this subgroup and is considered a contender for getting into the top 10 of the 2026 draft.

Very interesting to read. I was wondering when a top 2027 russian would emerge. Keep an eye on him

He leads Volga Region U18 league in scoring with 8+11 in 13 games (ahead of top Russian 2008 prospect Fyodorov who's 10+6 in 14). I'm pretty sure he'll play in the MHL next season as 15 year old. Of course his physical developmen is ahead of his peers so it helps.

At the same age how does he compare to say Demidov, Ryabkin, Michkov,

They didn't play in U18 leagues so it's hard to compare, but if we take last year's Federal Districts Cup Pustovoy wasn't even close to any of them, he had just 5 points in 5 games. He played for a way weaker team though so scoring could be a problem. We shall see how this season's Federal Districts Cup goes, he's going to play for a much better team.

A few days ago, the interregional championship of the Russian "Junior Hockey League" (boys born in 06-07) ended. The best teams from all over the country met in two groups, and then in the playoffs. The Ak-Bars team reached the final, in which Pustovoi scored the winning Goal.

After a lull, he got going again.
Yesterday's goal, today's goal.
Let me remind you that Pustovoy is one of the youngest players in the league, perhaps the youngest.
