Los Angeles California native who just joined the USNTP this season. The 6'4 forward Gasseau is off to a hot start with 6+ 4 for 10 pts in his first 9 games in the preseason. He also recently just commited to Boston College for next season. His dad is a French Canadian who played in the QMJHL, the AHL and with Team Canada. His size is intriguing and his production has been good thus far. Can anyone who has seen him play describe his game, is he more of a skilled forward or can he slide into the bottom 6 if needed?

He's a draftable prospect. Bottom six ceiling. The new coach has rolled out all types of crazy lines so far. Gasseau is playing with two of the best scoring forwards, so his totals look a little higher in preseason.

That’s a pretty low ceiling , we’ll see what kind of production he is having in the regular season

I don't take back that he's mostly a passenger playing with who he does, but he's a little better than I initially thought.

I worried about his skating, considering his size. It's not good, but its passable for a 6'4 guy. It won't keep him from the NHL, in my opinion. He can occasionally turn the corner on a defenseman. And he has decent stick skills for a player his size. He's not going to run a PP or be much more than the big guy that takes up space, goes to the net and battles well in the corners, but he's a little better than being big as the only facet to his game. I should also mention because it doesn't say so anywhere in the thread, but he's a center, if anyone was wondering. I think he'll be able to stick at center, although I don't see why he couldn't also play wing, if a team preferred that.

Mid-rounds seems like a realistic range.
