Hoping Gibson sees some ice in this one. I know Murray really grabbed this starting spot in his playoffs performance. But the most recent Jennings winner deserves a crack at it.

Or just sit him and protect him from injury. Now that I think about it

Isn't Gibson starting?

I believe Gibson was named starter for tonight. Haven't seen anything about switching out or something.

OP has a lot of confusion..
Time, date and line combos all seem incorrect

gaudreau-McDavid-Eichel is the top line
Drouin-RNH-Mackinnon
Matthews-Scheif-Saad

I'm predicting 7-0 to North America. I think Europe is better on paper than they are being credited for, but there's just no incentive for them to play. Pretty sure they just want this to be over quick, and hopefully return to their NHL teams without injuries.

It has been been reported multiple times now that the Scheiffele line is actually the second line.

Europe looks good on paper but I don't see them winning a single game this tournament

I've been looking everywhere for confirmed lines and this is what I've got

Jonathan Drouin-Connor McDavid-Mark Scheifele
Johnny Gaudreau-Jack Eichel-Nathan MacKinnon
Auston Matthews-Ryan Nugent-Hopkins-Brandon Saad
Dylan Larkin-Sean Couturier-Vincent Trochek

Morgan Rielly-Aaron Ekblad
Shayne Gostisbehere-Colton Parayko
Ryan Murray-Seth Jones

Goaltenders
John Gibson
Connor Hellebuyck

This goes against what you posted but I guess it is possible

I really don't see the good in there. Like, at all. The D is old, slow and altogether atrocious, there is dead weight on multiple forward lines.

They are better than the Czech's on paper, and they just beat Russia and put up a close fight in the first game as well. But the problem here isn't Europe on paper, the problem is their team is a gimmick.

Eichel on the wing is just a plain silly move. The kid doesn't belong on the first line either.

Larkin should be slotted into one of the higher lines and Eichel can go on the 4th line wing.

Eichel is better than Larkin? why would Larkin play higher than him in the lineup.
