Obviously common sense would factor in and the Isles would be willing to bridge the difference in value. It’s not like in your proposal Vancouver is getting much more than Barzal anyway.

Sorry I didn’t indulge in your fantasy.

Vancouver get Barzal, solid depth and peace of mind. If you had Read, you would have understood that I'd be willing to add to make the Trade more fait, if considered lopsided

Well than, wtf are you doing in this section of the forum?
Seems quite derp to me

I think trading JTM right now would net very little for the Nucks in return. Everyone knows his locker room issues, he has not been good at all this year, his injury/age could be a concern, and he is a 30+ years old that play a physical game, the body will break down sooner than later. Having a NMC just makes the situation more unfavorable for Allvin. If he is traded, I really don't expect we get much back. Maybe a younger player with lower ceiling, a late 1st, and a roster player to balance out the salary, kind of like a rental package.

Would I take that deal? Its hard to say, it depends how damaged you think his relationship with the team is. If it is not salvageable, you kind of have to take what you can get and move on. Obviously Allvin and most Nucks fans hope both him and Petey can return to form, but my confidence in that fades a little bit more each passing day.

No kidding. I stand by my opinion that the whole thing is BS and that Vancouver just wants to keep this story alive to distract from their real problems and try to put pressure on Pettersson to perform better

I'd guess a lot of teams are calling about trades for one of JT or Pettersson and Alvin welcomes the talk, but moves the talk to different players. They want trades but not their top guys
What a ridiculous take……

As a neutral fan, I wonder about JT for Lindholm + Lysell?

I can't imagine Boston actually rebuilding, and for Van, this not only clears the drama but it gives you a center back that you know works with your team.

Which fanbase hates this idea more?

JT Miller is going to crash before that contract ends

We see this was 30+ players on the rangers.

Hr has 5 full years Kraft. If he had 1-2 left hed get a positive return with 5 years he does not have anywhere near the v as lue mango csn fans are hoping for.

His contract if the perfect example of having changes in retention each year so instead if 50% it could be something like vancouver teysins 0%, 25%,50%,75%,100% each of the next 5 yrs.

I’m driving from Thunder Bay to drive Miller to Boston

The Jackets are on a six game win streak, and so far have just had a blessed season. They're really not interested in disruption. So let's say they run the JT Miller idea by Werenski, Jenner, and Monahan, and whatever other leaders they have. Do you want this guy in your locker room? They'll know JT Miller better than we do and they can figure that out.

If by chance they are okay with bringing him in, then I'd still have some reservations about trading a lot of value for a 31 year old with 5(?) years left after this season. I personally wouldn't trade Cayden Lindstrom. Maybe Brindley or Del Bel Belluz.

I'm just very wary of the media looking for clicks. I'm not saying there isn't anything to it, but imo it's more like the team's faults and slumps are bringing out friction between players, and not the other way around

I'd imagine in a scenario like this the nucks would just take Zadorov back instead of lysell whom they don't really need. Add or subtract whatever is required..
Afaik Boston isn't thrilled with either lindholm or zad contracts.

I think in that scenario the Canucks would be trying everything they can to give JT Miller away for free rather than taking on the Lindholm deal, a nightmare which runs through 2031.

Nah lindholm is a fine 2C, I don't mind that deal at all, and all the better if Boston doesn't love both, as both fit on the Canucks team.
As Miller (& soucy?) would fit the boston team.

Biggest problem with the Miller contract is even if his play doesn't decline you'll have to find a way to trade him again in 2-3 years anyways after all his new teammates also start to hate him.
