Hey guys,

Hoping someone from Prague or people that have visited it before can help out a Canadian travelling this weekend.

I never heard of this euro tour thing until now, but apparently there is a game on Saturday with Kovalchuk and Radulov crushing some plugs.

Problem is tickets are sold out and I have no idea where to get tickets on a secondary market since I can't speak czech. There is no stubhub or anything comparable that I've found.

Only result Ive gotten from emailing the arena directly is an offer for club seats for 3250 krowns which seems a bit steep considering it is 10 x the normal ticket price.

So if anyone has any knowledge of how hockey games operate in the czech republic please help! I'm hoping to just walk up on Saturday and pray someone is selling extras/scalpers are present for now.

Thanks!

PS- what is this tournament? like an extended all star game with KHL players?

The Euro hockey tour is a series of 4 national team tournaments throughout the season (1 in each country) that Russia, Czech republic, Sweden and Finland have been playing since the 90s. It's mainly used by the national teams to try out different players and prepare for the World championships. This year they changed the format so that only 2 tournaments were played in the fall and they'll only play a few sets of single matches during the spring. The teams are composed of players from all european leagues.

It's not a terribly prestigious competition, but it's not all-star like exhibition hockey but instead serious play, because it's essentially a tryout for the players to try and make the WC team. The players picked will also be some of the best players in the various leagues and not plugs.

Just a heads up, Kovalchuk and Radulov wont be playing saturday.

Russia is using the games in Prague to get young prospects experience on the national team. Almost all those guys have no current chance at even the World Championships. But it might be worth going if you want to see some future talents, at least from Russia's side.

Finland leading Sweden 1-0 after the first period. Pesonen from Aaltonen. 1st period was some of the best hockey i have seen for a while. Nice pace.

Ou for feck sake not the ice again... the swedish trick. It already cost Kärpät the Champions hockey League victory.

This isn't a GDT since there is no EHT going on. EHT is just two tournaments this and next season. It's just two international games between Finland and Sweden this week.
