Prospect Info: Ethan Del Mastro, LD

  • We sincerely apologize for the extended downtime. Our hosting provider, XenForo Cloud, encountered a major issue with their backup system, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of some critical data from the past year.

    What This Means for You:

    • If you created an account after March 2024, it no longer exists. You will need to sign up again to access the forum.
    • If you registered before March 2024 but changed your email, username, or password in the past year, those changes were lost. You’ll need to update your account details manually once you're logged in.
    • Threads and posts created within the last year have been restored.

Our team is working with Xenforo Cloud to recover data using backups, sitemaps, and other available resources. We know this is frustrating, and we deeply regret the impact on our community. We are taking steps with Xenforo Cloud to ensure this never happens again. This is work in progress. Thank you for your patience and support as we work through this.

Actually a reasonable pick, though he didn't blow me away. Liked Martin and Montgomery better in that style of player what whatever.

Better than Allan. At least at the WJC18 he was. And by a lot. Was one of the standouts there. Big, mean stay at home defenseman. I'd consider that a steal.

For a player that goes defense first, his 6 points from last 2 games is huge.

In 28 games

4 goals (2 gwg)
29 points
+29
38 penalty minutes
51 shots on goal

Leads his team in +/-
2nd in assists

Leads the OHL in +/-
12th in penalty minutes
20th in d-men shots on goal

He also played RD ....not so much at his natural LD side.

Del Mastro made the Allan pick somewhat unneeded, IMO....of course, they didn't know they were going to get him either......he's got some fire to his game, need that in the arsenal.

Allan himself made the Allan pick unnecessary.

You can find AHLers and bottom pairing D for league minimum contracts that can give you what Allan gives you.

All Allan has is age.

Well guess what? He's way behind on the depth chart of guys that also have age on their side.

Mitchell, Beaudin, Kaiser, Phillips, Crevier, Regula, Kalynuk, Galvas are all better than that bum.

Nolan Allan is a bonafide Graham Knott level scrub.

Del Mastro - Jones as an actual working 1d pair?

Then use him in the 2nd pp as a RD
because of his excellent blue line play
and passing capabilities.

One can dream....

Yeah I'm very much thinking Del Mastro - Jones in two or three years.

We should find someone with offense for the second pair. Niemela khmm?

Wow!, another insightful post from this clown, bashes 18 - 20 year old players and yet never offers any thoughtful reasoning for his opinions. Just the same old garbage spewed… bum, scrub, bust.

If you have nothing more to add then your usual unsupported criticism, no one can even remotely take your opinions seriously.

Raty was the pick there, not Allan. Needed depth at C. And they went for a sub par def d. Could have had Pastujov instead of Dach. And that’s depth.
