Seems like there's mutual interest in Haula extending. Not sure if his market will have gotten much better than the last time he was UFA (summer 2021) plus the flat cap puts the squeeze on a depth guy like Haula. Seattle was looking for a faceoff ace since all of their centers were under 50%, but they probably need to keep a spot open for Shane Wright. Colorado has some center openings although that seems like a prime Jonathan Toews landing spot.

Maybe other teams could look at Haula as a LW who can take draws which he did for the majority of the season with Hughes. I could only imagine Haula might like some security after bouncing around seven teams in seven years. Maybe something 3 x 2.5 with New Jersey could work? Apparently his wife is close with Curtis Lazar's wife, so that might be a bonus in staying.
