Helle is going to play 65 games anyhow. Comrie has played very well in the AHL the past few seasons so hopefully he is ready and able to give us 15-17 solid games.

If not we can always waive him and grab a cheap backup. They go all the time around the league.

I would give Comrie a chance and if he stumbles, we pick up a backup via waiver wire if one is available mid season

And maybe get a vet goalie at the trade deadline for the playoffs

I like this move. He deserves more of a chance in the NHL than what he's had so far. I'm pulling for him, too.

My guess is that they ride with Comrie as the backup to start the season to make Little's LTIR cap math easier to handle and if they are in a playoff spot they trade for a backup at the deadline using the accumulated cap savings.

Sucks Bro won't be back. Never been impressed with this kid as an NHL backup. To small, to slow and to shakey to ever be an option you can put your trust in.

Wouldn't count Comrie out just yet. He's had bad showings in the NHL but we're talking about a sample size of 9 games. He's been good everywhere else and I think he'll be fine once he gets settled.
