This is goofy given that all of your key players have been hurt in the last three seasons. Just not this one. No shame in that.
The point I’m making is that Arsenal made the decision to rely on often injured players. It’s not like this is a new theme, it was a choice.

It’s irrelevant how a team wins as long as they win, so I don’t really care about that part.

Konate missed 6 games

Alisson missed 8 games

Diogo Jota missed 10 games

That’s three starters. LFC have had key injuries. They’ve just handled them a lot better than other teams

I’m in a good mood so I’m not even going to mention Joe Gomez :)

And our only summer signing has played a whopping 25 PL minutes this season

Odegaard and Saka have been utterly healthy until now, what are you talking about, also the only reason the Arsenal fans are bringing it up is because those are basically direct Savant quotes from when Liverpool had a couple injuries and Arsenal had a healthy year.

Agreed on the second point.

Injured players? When had Saka or Havertz or Odegaard or White been injured before? It’s not like we were relying on Tierney and Tomiyasu. Meanwhile Liverpool’s key players have all been injured in the last few seasons, often multiple times, yet you’re praising them. Just try to be intellectually honest, I know it’s tough.

I don’t think I ever said Arsenal had a healthy year? I’ve said other teams have also had injuries. I said Arsenal have not done a good job dealing with their injuries, especially the Odegaard injury. I’m very aware Arsenal have had injuries.

I think Liverpool has managed very well the injuries of their opponents.
No Haaland vs City, no Isak vs Newcastle, etc...
I think for some reason that was a debate last year, wasn't there ?

Yes. But the LFC fans also aren’t trying to pretend this hasn’t happened. That’s the difference.

But aren't claiming it either while pointing to others last year.
I definitely mentioned it was a surprise to miss Haaland before the City game, even the City fans I know were shocked. I mentioned earlier in the week I thought Newcastle might not show up because they may not want to tip their hand before the Cup final. I didn't think Isak would miss out (I don't know anyone that had that on their radar) but had a feeling Newcastle would care more about the Cup final. Anything else all the other people on here can keep track of if they choose to do so. But with a 13 point lead on second, I am also not going to care very much

Liverpool pretty much winning because they have had one of the healthiest teams in one of the poorest EPL seasons in the last ten years. Congrats on an asterisk trophy.
I would've had 8 asterisk trophies if the Lightning didn't have like 9 dudes nursing torn shoulder labrums, ligament strains, broken hands and feet and whatever the hell Point had. I guess I'll have to settle for 3 asterisk cups, a COVID Super Bowl and PL title that don't count either. Oh well I'll settle for this one too as number 7 in addition to the European Cup vs Spurs that doesn't count either

It's a heavy load boys. Someone's gotta carry it

Why you crying at me? I am just using your logic for the last two years.
This is not my logic. And there is no factual basis to anything that you have said. It’s just whining.

You say LFC are having a healthy season. They have lost a whopping 24 days less from injuries than Arsenal have

You guys are forgetting the biggest reason this trophy will have an asterisk.

There is a clear and obvious league wide conspiracy to screw Arsenal out of the title.
Oh yeah, there is plenty of conspiracy against the Arsenal, but the point gap is too large and the injuries are too deep to consider it from the hands of the FA/British Government/CIA/MI6. They have to be sneaky and choose their spots wisely as not to arouse suspicion from the rest of the league. Olivier has overstepped his boundaries this season though and people have caught on.

Bro, fam, muse, you were making bulletpoint multiple paragraph arguments when Arsenal and Man City were neck to neck in the title race, the EPL year was super weak overall. Don't you forget that.

Jota is a super sub, but in no way is a starter for Liverpool anymore.

I am confused...Konate is a starter, but then you made a huge deal when Gomez got injured last week as your starter. You can't play 3 dimensional chess...with yourself.

Either Konate or Gomez is a starting CB to go along side VvD. You can't have three starters. Arsenal has better CB depth and I will say we do not have three starting CBs.

It was weak last year. It is stronger this year than it was last year. Last year there were only 9 teams with a positive xG difference, this year (as of Monday, haven’t looked yet) there are 13. Teams like Arsenal and City are worse this year, but everyone else (except the three relegation teams) are basically better. Hell the 17th place team in the PL might have multiple starters for the Brazil national team

Jota is a super sub, but in no way is a stater for Liverpool anymore.
This is completely false. Diogo started pretty much every game including MW1 and onward, until he got injured. And has started every game since he has been healthy. If he is a “super sub” it is because they are managing his injuries

Gomez is their best defensive sub. Klopp and Slot both used him to take Trent off so there is some obvious value there. If you watch baseball, it’s like having your closer injured. And yeah until the last two games, LFC stopped keeping clean sheets. Losing Gomez directly correlated with this

Aren't the asterisk police the same ones wanting a title to be awarded to them via point deduction?
Not the point I was trying to make at least. My point it that’s a more relevant punishment to Man City than a fine would be. And I wouldn’t be apologizing about getting “awarded” a title for the two best second place seasons of all time either; so they aren’t exactly participation trophies. I’m just saying if you want to hit Cuty where is hurts in a punishment (which I also said wasn’t likely to happen) than a fine wouldn’t do that to them

We've seen in the NHL that injuries do NOT tell the entire story. Getting an injury to Jakub Voracek for 82 games is worth nothing because he was never going to play again, but that is till 82 games on the injury record books. Liverpool is similar in this regard. It is the quality of injuries that matter and Arsenal has to be in the top 3 when it comes to star talent getting hurt.

- Martinelli
- Saka
- Havertz
- White
- Tomiyasu
- Saliba
- Jesus
- Tierney
- Zinchenko
- Calafiori
- Odegaard
- Timber

Those have all been our injuries and the problem isn't just star players getting hurt, but we've had to play f***ing Partey as an RB because Timber, White, and Tomiyasu have been out at the same f***ing time this season. Liverpool hasn't come close to that level of ridiculousness. Now we are starting Merino as a CF because all four of our players are out. FOUR! It hasn't just been the star players getting injured; it has legitimately been everyone, including depth. Even if we had a proper #9, his wingers would be Trossard, Sterling, and Nwaneri lol at this point.

And again, the bulk of those man days lost by LFC are three starters, the best defensive sub and their only summer signing. The narrative that Arsenal are the only team that has had injuries is ridiculous. They haven't dealt with it well. Thats why they are closer to 10th place than to 1st place. I am not going to take seriously a team that is double digits behind claiming woe, and the world is against them and blah blah blah. It's ridiculous. You are entitled to your opinion, but I will will call out this bologna if I see it
