Another matchweek already, this time featuring the @robertmac43 derby, where Arsenal will look for revenge for the worst red card of the season. The matchweek kicks off, however, with a resurgent Newcastle heading to Tottenham, whose manager may be feeling some heat. We also get a London derby when Palace hosts a struggling Chelsea and a M69 derby (nice) when Villa hosts Leicester. Finally, we get to see what Liverpool does to Man U - does Man U suddenly find inspiration at Anfield or will Liverpool push their rivals closer to a relegation scrap? Results could see United in 15th at the end of the matchweek, with Everton potentially two points back with a game in hand. But if United beat their rivals, Liverpool's massive lead could drop to 3 points, albeit with a game in hand.

Love the early start for Spurs. I don't have to feel guilty if I "accidentally" oversleep and miss the game.

Arsenal should win this one... Brighton are a little lost right now and have been conceding chances all over the place through the last 6 weeks or so.

I'm putting one euro on either 7-0 or 10-0.
I think the options are realistically 5 or 6 to 1 or a 1% chance that they play like the FA cup final or derby games against City, keep it kinda close and then smash and grab a draw at the very end that they don't deserve.

I don't see any realistic way it ends like 2-1 with Liverpool just calmly controlling the second half. United would self-destruct and liverpool would easily score 3 more goals.

Amorim said after the last game or something that he's had 4(!) training session with the team, due to the hectic schedule, but one would expect him to squeeze in or two today and tomorrow. So it's understandable if things don't look anywhere like he wants to on the pitch. I don't still expect quick changes to happen.

Idk why people are coming after the coach so soon. He may or may not be a good coach or the right one. However he deserve time it’s in everyone’s best interest. Another thing is he has inherited a team that has holes pretty much everywhere. Keeper, DM, CM, the entire attack line.

Utd was shit last year and ruined LFC’s season. Not going to be taking any of this for granted. Especially if there’s a ticking timebomb(s) in the LFC locker room now

The squad is terrible and it's going to take another 3 or 4 windows for them to get the quality they need it. Enough time the manager to start putting his stamp on the team before being fired and having the cycle continue.

Not sure if it’s going to take 3/4 windows. They could have a good summer and make drastic improvements. No one should be thinking of winning the league just improvement and steps in the right direction are needed.

They could, but it's United we are talking about.... lol

That’s another argument the potential is there they just have to work on it.
Oh the personnel to do that is there (Berrada and Wilcox) but the issue if PSR/FFP. United have to sell a lot players and not at a significant loss.
Ya same guys who spent 50M on a guy who can’t pass and 40 million on a guy who can’t complete a half.

Realistically they only need a good January and summer window to be able to get back to challenging for a top 4 spot next year.

It would have to be an excellent set of windows, but they’ve got enough random talent around the roster that they should be able to pace 65-70 points in a season (which is usually around top 4) by fixing the obviously broken things.

I’m not remotely expecting that to happen, but it is possible.

Getting back to challenging for a title is a several year process, but I think pretty much everyone realizes that.

A handball interception leading to a goal against is not particularly fun.

Ange is absolutely furious.

I can play goal
