That is the worst officiating I have seen all year.

Refs were just straight up dicks.

Just put Leino in bubble wrap and scratch him for the rest of the year. They need his sorry ass healthy come buyout time.

Emotionless, meh play all around

U-

Zemgus had his worst game as an NHLer yesterday. On the first goal Zemgus made a mistake along the boards, which led to a shot on goal. It was a soft goal on Enroth, but still that's a pretty terrible play there by Girgensons.

To be honest, it looked like he was targeted by the Jets the whole game. Those hits on him neutralized him, made him emotional - he tried to retaliate and tried to throw more hits than usual, which led to the 3-on-2 breakaway on the 2nd goal, as Zemgus tried to throw a hit with no speed and failed to take his guy out.

A new experience for him and it will be interesting to see how he bounces back from this game.

Hope he won't get tossed from the 1st line though, as the Sabres just became unbearable to watch again once all the lines got juggled (with the only exception of the Moulson-Ennis-Omark line, which looked like a competent PP unit during that one shift).
