How we played the games vs how they played the games is probably more relevant.
It ended up with both teams leaving at the exact same point either way lol the Oilers have an all world PP....and actually got given powerplay chances in the 2nd round. End of the day they lasted one game longer then we did.

Mitch's words drizzling syrupy sweetness over Kyle, it's all about how Kyle makes them feel good.

F*** I miss Lou.

exactly. freakin' entitled little brats. they've been doing what they feel like because there has been no ramification for their actions.

on top of that he threw a hissy fit during the regular season when his gaffes' caused ducks to come back in the game; when keefe benched him and put him on the 4th line.

then following the arizona game when keefe called htem out; he had to apologize in media wtf....

meanwhile marner's comments were "Shambles in the brain" and "grown men"

really need a GM who is going to set them straight. This is a professional league, and there are expectations when you take a big piece of the pie. If you are not going to hold on to your part of the bargain; GM wouldn't either. This isn't a charity

who just beat "the best team ever!!!!!!!!"
They weren't the best ever, but at least that went to overtime in game seven. Bruins also averaged just under four goals a game. Our supposed strength struggled just to average two vs Florida.
The problem is when the ref only gives you two PPs in an elimination game and your team is absolute dogshit at ES.
Solution: score more 5on5, at least in some games. Seattle (Seattle!) was up 6-1 on Dallas last week in the 3rd period before they got their first PP. It can be done.
Pay me an $11M salary and I'll show you. Over the years and jobs, I've earned between $20K and $90k and been subjected to far harsher expectations and dressing-downs than these entitled bozos.
No network is paying billions to broadcast any of us working.
Matthews had a hand wrap... I am fairly certain that at least he was injured.
Many players wear hand wraps. Not necessarily indicative of an injury.
That’s what I got from reading the quote too
Some of you watch too much rhymes-with-born.
shanny has been uncharacteristically quiet.
I think he's characteristically too quiet.
It's like Mitch simply can't bear to leave high school, and is coming back for grade 14.
Worked for me!
You never know, Austin might have gotten used to short seasons with very little playoff runs getting in the way of living the good life. If so Arizona would be a ideal place, hometown hero comes home to empty the coffers……..
Even with revenue sharing and broadcast money, Arizona doesn't generate enough local revenue to pay a player $14 million.

Once. Pasta got 11.25m and scored 60 and 110 point. Willie is not even close. If these guys want to stay together they have to give a discount.

Ideally Matthews gets Pasta money. He'll get 12.5-13m which is an overpay but considering the return we get for the rental. The hit is worth it.

Ideally I would pay Nylander 8m but he will get more no doubt. Same deal with him, the return won't get us the 1D we need.

Both are 40+ Goal scorers now, gotta have guys that put the puck in the net. That's who I want on my team, fancy passer boy can be replaced by gritty take the hit to make the play passer man.

compare to other "core players", he is.:laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh:

Lowest hit (amount leafs player): nylander only 10 player in the entire NHL had worst number...
Lowest blocked shot
Hes the guy who had been on the ice for most goal against in playoff and he played probably the easiest matchup all playoff!!!!

Hes 10th by production/60 at even strenght behing matthews, marner, tavares, oreilly, knies, lafferty, kampf...

Overal Nylandet had been probably the worst of core but wait he scored 2 lucky goal so we should forget everything and claim he was good!!!

He has been our best forward in each of the last three playoffs. But whatever dude..

If they want to be here so badly they should take discounts it's easy to say you want to be here when nothing is on the line

Hilarious that Dubas is also trying to squeeze more money and term from mlse appearently.

Leading the charge in terms of milking he leaf gravy train

If you were a betting man and all things stayed the same. Would you bet on the Oilers doing better next season or the Leafs? They fought for wins with a bad goalie. We kinda just outscored our problems and got a lot of luck.

Really if you think about it. If the Oil improve their D a bit and tending, they're a force. We need to work on D, work ethic, physicality and compete. Like, that's a lot to work on.

Predicting what Dubas will say:

*We believe in these guys
*We learned lots of lessons
*Draft schmaft
*Not only will we run it back, we're gonna run it back harder than ever and you have no choice but to love it

Puck luck, believe in the core, great season, process

Will be interesting if he bets his job on tht core for the 5th straight year without punishment you

Their current arena has a capacity of 4,600. Not gonna do the job.

Considering you could get same day tickets from the yotes ( not resale) they still might need him to fill the 4600

f***in knew it. They're rolling this shit show back.

Dubas is now asking for more autonomy as if he deserves anything at this point.

More autonomy like shannahan is making picks and shit

This is his rodeo it seems like he's throwing the president under the bus for his mistakes

Oilers need depth scoring more than us. McD and Drai are masking their scoring problems.
I won’t let Nuge, Hyman, Kane and others points total mislead them for being great depth scoring. None of them can create anything on their own and they all rely on McD and Drai
