The fact that Zadorov also casually tossed in a "I've been on a few teams 'unfortunately'" strikes me as a guy that's not exactly keen on moving yet again.

This dude is comedy gold.

On the other hand, I seriously cannot listen to a word coming out of Mik ever again. No, I don't care if he's a good person or whatever.

Get this guy OUT of the team.

For those wondering, I texted my wife (a doctor, who I'm still working on converting to a full time hockey fan ) after hearing about the Petey injury with this: "what kind of knee injury would allow a guy to still skate but hurts a ton?"

Her answer was "probably a meniscus tear"

Don't take my word for it, she's internal med, not sports medicine, but that's all the insight I got there.

Hronek's interview annoyed me, JPat's question was completely in-line. Everyone else got asked questions about their contract, Hronek was the only guy who was an ass about it.

I'm gonna miss big Z a ton if they don't bring him back too, what an absolute beauty.

Full player interview summaries:

Boeser:
-blocked a shot in game one and had a bruise
-start to hurt so had a clot in one of his small veins and was allowed to play
-after game 6 showed more clotting that had moved to his deep vein
-wasn't expecting it and didn't understand
-just has to be careful about getting cut or hit his head
-good for a full training
-took a tonne of pride at trying to shut down McDavid
-had never had the shutdown role before and tried to embrace it
-"of course I feel like I could have made a difference" in game 7
-has to protect his future and doesn't want health issues moving forward

Petterson:
-has been playing with a bad knee since January
-nagging injury
-longer it went the more pain he felt
-just needs rest and time to heal
-these playoffs have made him hungrier to get back in the playoffs
-motivation to become an even better player for next year
-very noisy season and will be nice to get some time away
-describes himself as "how shit I've been for the last three months"

Hughes:
-everyone is feeling tired and he was feeling good

-hasn't wanted to think about hockey up until this point
-travel was different; didn't have to move in the bubble
-frustrations with the powerplay struggling
-should be an elite group and did well in the regular season against Edmonton on the PP but didn't transfer over to the playoffs
-Tocchet deserves his Jack Adams win
-everyone knew what their job was in the system; kept everyone accountable
-Tocchet is someone everyone can talk to and is very approacchable
-lucky to have Tocchet as their coach

DeSmith:
-was a play with 1-2 minutes left where he felt a pop in his groin
-didn't feel super great in practice
-team made the decision to go with Silovs
-not his decision

Myers:
-would love to return to the Canucks
-when the changes were made (referencing Benning) they found out that the standard and culture were going to change; they needed to
-pretty special to be in this position now given where they came from
-not a lot of guessing for the d-corps when stepping on the ice because of the coaching staff; worked at getting better every day and lots of communication

Demko:
-hardest thing he's had to go through as a player
-really close to coming back and was probably available for the next series
-not up to him to limit his workload in the regular season
-maybe can tweak a couple things, system-wise
-puts a lot of work maintenance-wise; frustrated that he still got hurt
-lots of praise of DeSmith and Silovs
-Silovs "played his ass-off"

-was a fun season
-thinks getting together early for camp paid off
-really close group
-have developed a bit of a standard for themselves as a group
-losing the last game makes him want to work even harder
-believes it's a fine line; when they are winning his emotions are accepted and when losing they are not
-staff has embraced who he is; have helped him channel it
-powerplay was disappointing

Soucy:
-coach had faith in him to play a shut down role; was proud of how it went throughtout the season
-doesn't like shaving all the way down and thinks he looks too young without facial hair

Joshua:
-was a good season; great time; sucks how it ended
-to go through this year with this group was a lot of fun
-wants to stay in Vancouver
-"I love it here"

Cole:
-doesn't want to get into his injury
-didn't win the series; no excuses
-season was much more successful than anyone was going to give them credit for when the season started
-matured quite a bit as a team
-"I've seen the hockeydb" (on where he's played)
-wants to be back

Hronek:
-season was a lot of fun; really enjoyed it (ignores the contract part of the question)
-first half of the year he was producing; second half was not
-wasn't sure why he didn't produce in the 2nd half of the season
-wasn't playing through an injury
-Paterson and Hronek getting snippy with each other
-was playing with Hughes; great player and great guy; made the adjustment easy
-"I'm restricted so there's not much I can do. Will have to talk to someone else" (he says this jokingly)

-numbers are only between his agent and Patrik
-hopefully can work something out
-when you play with great players and great coaches, it helps your game a lot
-has been on a few teams so have something to compare to, "unfortunately"
-hard to win in this league
-get more obessed with winning
-hockey in Canada is different
-Vancouver fanbase is way bigger; Flames aren't even the #1 team in Alberta
-Vancouver is a different level; fans were so hungry to see playoff hockey at home
-his family loves it here

Suter:
-playoffs reminded him of the playoffs in Switzerland just with better players
-doesn't bother him where he plays in the line-up

Garland:
-didn't like our game in game six
-had the series in control a couple of times but didn't play great in game 4

there goes the Tocchet won't lie in your face argument. yeah he will lie to us straightup
only Benning is dumb enough to be honest all the time. You don't build in excuses for players who are banged up.

And what else is he gonna say yes i'm 100% healthy the fanbase would be mortified if so.

The bigger issue is how many times can you fall on that skinny knee before it's wrecked

And sure it explains some of the loss in shot power and explosiveness but Pettersson is his own boss and if he's playing needs to be accountable you cant just have horrendous body language look paused out and be stand offish.

I'll keep saying this i think he will bounce back stronger and more mature.

One minor correction: Commando Dimbo isn't honest ALL the time, but he just doesn't know when to lie and when to be honest.

It's like saying the quiet part loud and the loud part quiet, all day, everyday.

Yeah no you can't have someone like that anywhere NEAR a microphone lol, let alone the team's GM and speaker.
