That's the rational thought here. Two similarly talented guys playing the same role on their team. One needs a new deal and has waffled on staying where he is so you figure he's going to get paid very well to stay. Any team would of course be thrilled to have either guy.I'll take the 100 point guy making $8m for the next 7 years over the 100 point guy who's going to make at least $11m starting next season.

So much homerismMcDavid/Bedard are the only players I take over Pettersson. 100-120 point/Selke calibre players are just so, so rare. Hits like a truck when he wants too and already as a great playoff run.
