This was discussed in a different thread.
Habs fans were talking about Armia as a top 6 forward (or top 9; still crazy) and looking for value as such. At least myself, thinks thats absolutely insane for a guy who averages like 25pts a season.
Allen would be an upgrade moderately, but his stats aren't exactly better than Koski's at this point and the defense infront of him is arguably better than the Oilers at this time.
I think this deal is a bit rich for the Oilers. McLeod has been doing fine and progressing well in the bottom 6.
Would be more interested in Armia being swapped out for a decent defender with Allen.

Armia has negative value with that contract and Allen is absolutely not bringing back a 1st rounder.
Why do Habs fans think Allen is that valuable when he was last traded for a 3rd and 7th while coming off a season with a .927 save? Sure, St. Louis had to move him as a cap move, but Allen hasn't been anything special for Montreal.

So they send a cap dump with multiple years while we send one with half a season and we pay a first and Mcleod on top of it to marginally upgrade in net lol when no thought for the other team is considered you get this type of thread.
An over paid player Armia and a goalie that may be a marginal upgrade over Koskinen for a promising young cost control home grown 3rd line C and a 1st . Pass . I am now dumber for having read this and even dumber for taking the time to post a reply .

I don't value Chariot like others or the media seem to.
I do not see 1st round value whatsoever in him, despite what the market what might say otherwise.
Feel most Oilers fans would agree as well judging by other threads
Doesn't even matter what Oilers fans think ! Holland has said he's not trading a 1st for a rental .
Chiarot would cost you your 1st + a 3rd, what are you adding for the upgrade in net?

Daily reminder that Allen is just as bad as Koskinen.
Oilers give up a 1st and get back garbage. Would love this as a Canucks fan though.

Hard pass on Allen. Bringing him in prevents bringing in an actual upgrade and keeps us in goalie purgatory.
