The thing that sucks about this being a throw away season is our first was only top 10 protected and we do not get draft luck. Also, JD and Rants are the only two expriring contracts any team might be interested in and I don't see the Avs even asking for their 9 team no-trade lists.

Bednar seems to have no answers, the power play continues to struggle and does not much of anything, team looks disjointed and goes through long waves of disinterest.

Even with the injuries, there is no way in hell this team should look this bad. The top 6 is missing one player, and Kovalenko is completely passable slotting on the 2nd line. Something isn't right beyond the injuries and inconsistent goaltending.

If I was coaching I'd be sending a message with the lines next game, even if for one period.
