I honestly think Bednar has actually played these guys into the ground. We need a long break.
No doubt about it he's played them into the ground.

Their brains are also looking tired and they're playing horribly as a result.

MacKinnon is once again 1st in TOI for forwards despite playing THREE LESS GAMES than Jack Hughes who is 2nd.

Unbelievable.

Man. That might have been some of the worst hockey I’ve seen them play in a long long long time. Maybe nuke did f*** up the locker room?

Sadly, the only thing actually working in this game is goaltending...I can't believe I'm about to type but Georgiev has been...fine.
Just had the same epiphony a few seconds ago.
He absolutely has been.
As much as I have busted on him in the past, I've got to give him credit when it's due. I'm trying to just slack off on busting on him anyways. It doesn't do anyone any good and I don't want to get too negative on anything anymore.

I’ve been told it’s spelled “Pokecheck”

Rants and MacK with quite possibly their worst period of the season. No f***ing idea what this power play is trying to accomplish.

Unfortunately Mittelstadt played a big part in that second Oilers goal. Had a terrible NZ turnover, letting noted speedster Leon Draisaitl catch up from behind and get the puck back, which set up the next faceoff in the DZ, then fails to tie up Podkolzin in front of the net. He’s playing like his stick weighs 25 pounds right now.

Pretty much, can't fault him on either goal (so sarcasm). The first one was Mack and Makar with their heads in their asses and the 2nd one was a good tip by Podkolzin with the assist from Mitts
I'm all for blaming Mitts but on that 2nd Oiler goal they looked like they were 5v3 for several seconds before the goal. They were toying with us.

I call this "Drowned by George". Even though I don't blame him for the 2nd goal, or this game in general (yet). But more of a reflection of the season.

Oilers have been way less threatening. It's all fluff
Strongly disagree. The Oilers dominated that period and have dominated since the 10 minute mark of the 1st. Shots since that time are 19-8 Oilers.
I’m guessing the B2B is catching up to them.
Edmonton also on a B2B but one guy kills his top players nightly and the other guy knows when to hold off on doing that.
