Makes no sense from Carolinas view... they can not trade Staal, he is their veteran center on a very young team. and no way they trade Faulk with that affordable contract...

I would have to imagine Draisaitl would be the ask instead of RNH. Nurse is a pretty big downgrade from Hanifin.

To me:
Faulk > Draisaitl
Aho >>> Nurse

I know that trading Nurse would be in an effort to get a forward back, but Carolina is one of the teams that has no need for Nurse at all. They are very deep at defense right now. You would need to move Nurse in a separate trade to another team. And by everything that I've heard, doesn't the Oiler management love Nurse???

RNH

The two in OP greatly favor EDM. Hanifin and Faulk are a couple tiers above Nurse in both the present and future.

I think it's interesting that nobody is commenting that the OP is calling Jordan Staal a "3rd line center" and RNH a "#1 Center" and then equating Nurse with Hanifin and Faulk by referring to them all as "a great Dman" in a attempt to make his proposal look better.

A deal around Draisaitl for Faulk is interesting but I'd still pass on that. Draisaitl has Kopitar potential, he can be a great centre behind McDavid ala Malkin

But if Faulk > Drai and Aho > Nurse it clearly shows that the gap between Faulk and Nurse is larger than that between Drai and Aho
