Probably more like a conditional 3rd imo that could fall to a 4th. But maybe that it I'd 2022 indicates it's a 2nd since we don't have one this year. Better be a good condition in that case
Or someone else is jumping in late...NHL Network says 'not quite done' so maybe they are ironing out the conditions
Yes well whichever way you say it. A 4th that becomes a third thenDon't think I've ever seen a conditional pick that could get worse if the conditions are met...

Good advanced metrics, curious to see the pick.
Well. He’s a defender not a forwardThe hell? Is this thread full of sarcasm or is he like the best shutdown defender in the league or something?
2 points in 38 games, yikes.

Who did he play with in NJ?Solid pickup for the Oilers. Kulikov came in and played hard despite taking significant/tight pay for one season - bet on himself and surmise he will get a multi-year deal now provided he holds up with Oilers. Playoff teams need depth guys like this - he won't bring offense, but he'll play a technically sound game, put in a little physicality too. Just have to make sure you use him with right partner.
The Oilers don’t need points from their defense. They need defense from their defense. The hell? Is this thread full of sarcasm or is he like the best shutdown defender in the league or something?

Pretty sure those can only be for 'future asset' type dealsThere have been conditions where a pick doesn't convey unless conditions are met though - happens once in a while
yes, he can he's been one of the few bright spots in NJ
Are the best defenders in the league the ones who produce the fewest points?Well. He’s a defender not a forward
The oilers don’t need another offensive dman. Are the best defenders in the league the ones who produce the fewest points?
Logical leap. Are the best defenders in the league the ones who produce the fewest points?
We have #4 and #12 in points from a d-man already. We have a lot of youth on our backend and could use another stable defender. Depending on the price I like this trade. Are the best defenders in the league the ones who produce the fewest points?

My goodness dude, is it so hard to understand that the Oilers need a stay at home D instead of an offensive defenseman? No one is saying hes the best, he is a good depth guy.Are the best defenders in the league the ones who produce the fewest points?

Nobody is leaping, asking a question not making a statement. You know that.Logical leap.
Where are the conditions of the 2nd
