I'm expecting it so I have nothing to worry about lol.
And yeah, next season we will be better positioned for a deep run.
Of course, if we go deep this year, that will be cool. But Tampa is the worst match up for us. Two of the best teams in the playoffs.

We want to see hockey played the right way, that is what everyone expects from the Panthers, we set the bar pretty high, so everyone expect us to put on a good show, I have no doubt this will happen, I want Tkatchuck to jump into the stands with his fist up and yelling: "Are you not entertained?"We just haven't seen our full roster playing at its potential - our anxiety is just not knowing what we'd be getting in a few days. But point definitely taken. It's hilarious to read that other boards think of us as some kind of domesday juggernant, while we're making bingo cards on how every single player on our roster (including our play by play commentator) sucks.
I've moved from Tampa in 6 to Cats in 7, so I'm finally there for the win!! However, given the amount of hockey we've played, I'd be happy enough if we just make it a competitive series. I'd be absolutely ecstactic if we manage to beat Tampa and then Toronto/Ottawa.
Tampa and the Panthers are the teams to beat this year. too bad they have to meet right away.

I am quite sure we will lose game 1 because the guys will be overaggressive and take too many penalties that TB is going to capitalize on, plus we will give up too many oddman-rushes.

Actually the TB board is expecting a loss as they think they always lose after long layoffs.
They are as much or more concerned about us as we are about them.
I still think the boys rise to the occasion.

I think both teams will come out rusty out the start of the game.
I'm in a hockey pool making some tough picks on who will be the Panthers 8th leading point scorer if they go to the cup. Deciding between Samoskevich and Ekblad/Jones
Will Samoskevich keep his 2nd line time and PP 1 time? Who will get more points between Jones and Ekblad?

PoMo will change the lines as soon as he feels it's not working tough to say on Samo.
Jones will run PP1 and should outscore Ekblad like Montour last season.

If we're able to steal one on the road, that would be fantastic - a huge boost to our chances. However, I'm suspecting that we would drop the first two while we're missing Ekblad/shaking off the rust. And then [cross fingers] grind out a win in 7.

Agree that Jones will outscore Ekblad. But I think we're sleeping on Samo as a scoring threat - and I could easily see Samo on the 1st with Swaggy back on the 2nd.

I hope the Panthers do what they did all year. In big games, against the best opponents they played their best, the games against lesser opponents they didn’t seem to get up for. No matter what they won a cup so I’ll just keep re-watching game 7 against the Oilers for the rest of the playoff if they lose.

Also 5th in playoff points among active players, only behind Crosby, Ovechkin, Kucherov and Malkin.
And he's still an excellent playoff performer.
he was 2nd in points on the team ahead of Pasta last year, and led his team the year before with over a PPG (10 points in 7 games)

I don't understand why many feels that Samo is not going to perform well, that kid is a gamer, he is fast, he can cycle pretty good, he can make sharp corners at high speed, he can shoot, he is intelligent, the kind of guy you want your daughter to date.

He can be our Evan Rodriguez this year, Tampa will be paying attention to the big guys, and not match up properly with Samo, he does not need much because of his speed.
