Obviously not his right hand.Bennett is also playing after breaking a bone in his hand a few weeks ago. He’s not fighting.

So your logic is that a guy who just got injured from a dirty hit… should get up and fight right away as a response? Genius reasoning right there.Marchand has been trying to hurt people and lick their faces his own career. He tried to.blow up Bennett and got blown up. No tears for Marchand. Maybe he should have tried to stand up and fight Bennett but then he would get tuned again. Brad should already be suspended for shoving a ref .
If you take away the Bs too many man penalties and the one double minor high stick, the differential is halved right there(or almost, I forget whether Bs have taken 2 or 3 too many men calls). The remaining differential makes more sense with regards to the differential in how much the Panthers have the puck.So after a nights sleep, here is what has been so frustrating.
As I said after Game 1, the Bruins path to victory is getting the puck behind the Panthers D and exposing that the Panthers are not that great defending in their own zone and to punish the Panthers aggressiveness with odd man rushes. They also have to win the special teams and goaltending battle.
Now, to be clear, this isn't the kind of hockey that is going to win 51 out of 100 games. But it can win 4 of 7.
It might surprise folks, but the Bruins are actually winning the 5 on 5 high danger chance battle in this series. When they get the puck down low they are exposing the Panthers ability to cover. They have been getting odd man rushes and breakaways, but they have not been finishing, and their forward speed means they have not been getting as many of these as they should. They are winning the goaltending battle.
That's all adding up to the Panthers holding an 8 to 7 edge in 5 on 5 goal scoring. Despite the massive possession and shot differentials, the Bruins are mostly keeping the Panthers to lower quality chances and trying to rely on Swayman. Its the game plan and their only path to victory.
But the special teams aspect. Woof. Goals are 7-1 in favor of the Panthers in 5 on 4 situation. The Panthers have more than double the 5 on 4 advantage time, and a not insignificant portion of the Bruins PP time has been in garbage time. The Panthers have 30 minutes of PP time when the game is within a goal and the Bruins 10 minutes. It's not surprising the Panthers have more PPs since they have had the puck more, but that spread is insane. It's been extremely frustrating in a series where the Bruins really need a lot to go right to have a lot going wrong. And for at key times in the past two games especially for questionable calls (and some of them more than questionable) to be going against the Bruins.
The Panthers should be winning the series. But, it's much closer than the "42-18 lol" people are letting on. But, the refs have changed it from a "maybe the Bruins can steal it here" to "no f***ing chance" and that is extremely frustrating.
Lol did you watch the game before when Lauko got driven into Florida’s goalie by a Florida player and got a penalty?Coyle was in the crease and Swayman couldn’t go through him to save the shot after the very lucky rebound bounce right to Bennett’s stick. Doubtful the save happens even if Coyle was not in the play. The push could have been called but all season I watched goalies not getting those calls.
He tried to check Bennett late and Bennett braced for it and blew him.up. did you ever play hockey? Do you know how to brace for a check and reverse check someone? It wasn' intent to injure but intent to protect himself from Marchand. So your logic is that a guy who just got injured from a dirty hit… should get up and fight right away as a response? Genius reasoning right there.
Florida is playing Bruins hockey better than the Bruins are.
They showed another hit by Marchand in the 2nd period of game 3 after the Bennett hit, where Marchand lined up Stenlund but their heads made contact with eachother, he left after that period. I don't know if that is where he got injured, but I am sure it didn't help anything after being hit by Bennett early in the same game.So your logic is that a guy who just got injured from a dirty hit… should get up and fight right away as a response? Genius reasoning right there.
Did you? Throwing a right hand punch isn’t bracing for a hit in any universe. He tried to check Bennett late and Bennett braced for it and blew him.up. did you ever play hockey? Do you know how to brace for a check and reverse check someone? It wasn' intent to injure but intent to protect himself from Marchand.
Lol that hasn’t been Bruins hockey for years.Florida is playing Bruins hockey better than the Bruins are.
Not sure what you’re getting at. It’s a punch to the face, plain as day, and everybody that couldn’t use logic to determine this from the other two angles can try to use mental gymnastics to explain it, but it’s a punch to the face.Where did the new angle come from, why was it not available sooner? Has anyone explained that? It is very strange how it suddenly appeared almost 48 hours later.
It shows the fist definitely connected as Marchand came crashing in to Bennett.
It doesn’t change the fact that Marchand took a run at Bennett trying to light him up. He was late, Bennett moved the puck and had time to get his hands up before Marchand ran himself right into the fist he stuck out. Marchand had to see his hit was going to be borderline late, but he still committed to it. Marchand’s attempt to totally rock someone horribly backfired on him.
There was no plan or premeditation on Bennett’s part.
Still, it is very strange how this “new” view just became available
I don't think be meant to hit him with his fist to the face but raised arm to make some force to deliver the counter check . If nhl did their job and suspended the rat for shov a ref he wouldn't have gotten blown up when he tried to deliver a late hit. He has plenty of time now to focus on kissing and kicking players. Karma. Maybe every team should give the rat his own medicine.Did you? Throwing a right hand punch isn’t bracing for a hit in any universe.
Lol sureI don't think be meant to hit him with his fist to the face but raised arm to make some force to deliver the counter check . If nhl did their job and suspended the eat he wouldn't have gotten up when he tried to deliver a late hit. He has plenty of time now to focus on kissing and kicking players.

Why was the rat too scared to get up and fight Bennett? He knew I'd he kicked Bennett he would lose his.tongue.Lol sure
Nothing against the guy, but Morgan Geekie is Boston's #1 center right now.Bruins haven’t played Bruins hockey since the days of McQuaid, Lucic and Thornton.
The Panthers have givin it to them for two years. Before that it was the Blues in the cup final.
Suspect for sure.Where did the new angle come from, why was it not available sooner? Has anyone explained that? It is very strange how it suddenly appeared almost 48 hours later.

That Bennett was “going to score that goal regardless” is moot. That’s got nothing to do with the rule. As has been posted multiple times in multiple threads."Bennett was going to score that goal regardless" is pretty weak. How many times have we seen that be part of an explanation of waiving off goaltender interference? I cant remember ever hearing that but I could be wrong .
It sure feels like the league is thinking FLA is going to win the series regardless so we don't need to correct ourselves and look bad in the process - first with Bennetts sucker punch and now with this.
They probably sent to the video to the same person in the department of player safety and Toronto nhl office that said Marchand wasn't going to be suspended for shoving a ref.Nothing against the guy, but Morgan Geekie is Boston's #1 center right now.
Suspect for sure
There is no argument to be made anymore with the last angle coming out, he clearly punches him.Not sure what you’re getting at. It’s a punch to the face, plain as day, and everybody that couldn’t use logic to determine this from the other two angles can try to use mental gymnastics to explain it, but it’s a punch to the face.
Argue that Marchand is a bitch and a rat and he licks guys, I get it. This is still a punch to the face. It happened. There were no consequences whatsoever from the league or the Bruins mind you. So now we sit here at 3-1 with the Bruins still refusing to do ANYTHING about literally anything Florida does. The most passive dogshit team Boston has had in years.
Doesn’t change the fact that it was a punch.
Bobrovsky says hi.There was no goalie interference because the league is basically saying Coyle dove. My grandma would've stood up to that shove from Bennett. Bruins fans should be ashamed of Coyle flopping like a dead fish instead of trying to play the puck.
The rat.turtles even when He isn't knocked down. He is just dirty and scared to answer on ice. Karma. He was clearly concussed, couldn’t even stand up, let alone challenge a guy to a fight.
Nothing against the guy, but Morgan Geekie is Boston's #1 center right now.
Suspect for sure
I mean this is literally the 2nd playoffs in a row where he has done this lol.I don't think be meant to hit him with his fist to the face but raised arm to make some force to deliver the counter check .
