yeah florida are favorite for what they did last 2 years but don't thibk it will be easy, you will hit a wall pretty fast and be sure it will be harder than tampa who was i jured and extremely soft. Don't think it will be as easy to go in front of the net of Stolarz than it was vs tampa..

And like i said 2 year ago before Florida started the playoff by rhe back door, they had 1 playoff serie win in last 25 years... They bought Maurice system and we saw the result, don't thing it only can happen to 1 team...

I pick our players over the Leafs players because some are better, others may be equal but contribute more, but overall, all are proven to perform in the playoffs, and fit perfectly into the Panthers style of play, what PoMo preaches, and that they will do everything and anything to win the Cup. Not all those Leafs players have that in them, that dog in them you can say, or at least have shown signs of it yet.

Better overal not necessairly, Upgrade are basically only in D and G but the depht wordt than whrn they was playing with oreilly on 3rd linr ... The biggest difference is they didn't taking dump risk and giving anything free. Cats will need to earn everything they will get, thst's the biggest difference.

I get you. Most Panthers fans know the Leafs are different, and the series will be tough. Nobody is taken them for granted. The ones that are know very little about us, or the team itself, and are more rage bayoneting than anything, like some of the Keafs fans here.

As far as the player comparisons are concerned, I think some are correct, while others may be more of the equal type, rather than one being better than the other. It all differs depending on which poster is making the comparisons. For me though, I just see what type of game is required to be played in the playoffs to win 4 rounds, and while some Leafs players may be more skilled and score a few more goals, I don’t see that as a reason to select them over their Panthers counterpart.

Like Matthews is the best goal scorer in the game, or top 2/3, but I’m not taking him over Barkov. Swap the two, and Florida does not make it to the Finals last year, or limit McDrai the way Barkov did when they were matched on the ice. I love watching 34 play, but I have a hard time taking any center over him. He wants Cups, not accolades, which is what it ultimately comes down to for us fans as well IMO.

I don't see the leafs having a great shot after watching them struggle vs the Sens. I thought the leafs were different this year but then I watched them get shut out in a close out game at home. The cats are going to win in 5 most likely.

i'm totally agree with you in most part, if Matthews want to win a cup he will need to be better than he was in 1st round for sure

I think FLA definitely has to be considered the favorite, but it seems too much is being made of the fact that TOR didn't beat OTT more convincingly. I picked TOR to win that series in a six and it went six. I don't think that's a particularly bad or embarrassing outcome. I mean, VKG dropped two to Minny and WPG has lost three games to STL in other series between a division leader and a WC team. I seem to recall a lot of people thinking that OTT could be pesky and had the potential to pull of an upset as well.

FLA has obviously been the better playoff team and TOR has much more to prove, but I definitely don't see this series being a slaughter or anything like that. I'll be surprised if it doesn't last at least six games.
