The Leafs don't have to play the grind to win, though. That's not their system, so they're not going to try and out-grind the cats. That would be a pretty bad approach.

Instead they'll do their thing and if it forces the Panthers to adjust, they're on their way. Otherwise, yep, it'll be a relatively easy series for the Floridians.

What is their system then? Because that is exactly what they are going to try to do. They are going to dump in pucks, try to win those battles, and then move the puck low to high and get shots on net through traffic and hope it gets tipped or finds a way in.

I was extremely surprised by the lack of respect the Panthers got all year and heading into the playoffs. They either thought 2024 was a fluke or just didn't pay attention at all to this team.

With that said, the Maple Leafs, Capitals are right there with Florida. I don't think there is a favorite in this series.

I think some of them are weak or scared, too.

But Stutzle is on a different level and cant stay on his feet. I don’t know why he’s easily knocked down, but he either needs to strengthen his legs, fix his skates, or quit.

I think you need a lot of help from your bottom six because your core four guys, or, I'd say mostly Marner and Matthews aren't good playing that style of game that we force teams to play. Nylander is a gamer, Tavares doesn't have the speed to be a game breaker. Your defense is better though just because how Berube wants to play. I think Tampa was more dynamic offensively just because their guys have gone through the gauntlet but defensively you're probably better.

Leafs are the best team equipped to beat them. We have the biggest and heaviest defense in the league. At least after this series I will never have to hear this soft nonsense again

Everyone knew the Leafs weren't gaining respect by beating the Sens. Beating a quality and physical team like the defending champs while fully healthy will start shutting people up. If they flame out the narrative doesn't change, but if they win....

I don't think the Sens are getting enough respect in here. They were a very tough out that would have given any of the tops seeds a hard time.
