I can’t imagine spending time on the Florida board to collect their hot takes but imagine even in a fanbase of that size you’d run into some oddball ideas...

No need to apologize for what Leafs fans talk about amongst ourselves, seriously, sarcastically, emotionally.
I was laughing my ass off reading you curse your whole team the other night. Continue.

Oh I agree it was dirty, it's just hilarious that the same group of fans that were complaining about that hit go around celebrating their team headshotting their opponents. Seems hypocritical no ?

Also it is pretty much a nightly occurrence with the Panthers, you guys have likely just gotten used to it.
If Hagel hadn’t delivered an inexcusable dirty as f*** hit on Barkov first, the Ek’s hit on Hagel would be unnecessarily dirty.

However, Hagel did, and therefore Ek did, and it was magnificent and well deserved. You call that opinion hypocrisy, I call it cause and effect, or FAFO for short.

Same principle to be applied to the Leafs.

I wouldn’t be surprised if Knies had some FAFO saved up for Bennett. Be disappointed if he didn’t.

If the Leafs were ever defending Stanley Cup champions in my lifetime I’m pretty confident I wouldn’t be enjoying it on the Florida boards.
I'm not a Panthers fan, but i assume you know the comedy in the self depreciation you guys exhibit in your GDT's.

They (most of them, there of course are the ones who say inflammatory things just for the reax they get) celebrated that a bad hit on the team’s Captain doesn’t just get let go by his team mates. Don’t touch Barky, and stay off of Bob or shit will happen. I love it, personally.
They certainly play a physical game and will finish almost every check, but, again the nightly dirty hit bullshit is just that, bullshit. They will grind teams down with legal hits.
And they have lots of skill to go with it.
This is going to be a great series. The games between them are (almost) always close and down to the wire.
The Panthers (Zito) took their cues from what it would take to beat Tampa Bay, as that was the first step towards any playoff success. Now it seems Toronto has taken some steps to better match up with FL. We’ll see how it works out.

Leafs squeaked by a team that was just happy to be there, this is a different animal with the Panthers

maybe winning a round will allow the Leafs to relax and play their game...but this will be a physical test

Panthers in 6
Leafs were one shot from sweeping them also it works both ways.

I don’t think Florida is dirty at all, but they play the right way, which is the way most Canadians used to play hockey. They were lucky enough to acquire a few of the players that still play hard tough hockey.

The unfortunate part of this is that it’s the league and their employees who dictate who is allowed to play that way and who is not.

Just so happens that most of the time it’s a team associated with Colin Campbells family

So you're all good if Bennett and Marchand get lit up with dirty hits, since they have a long history of delivering dirty hits to Toronto ? Yeah ?

Leaf fans can show vulnerability amongst ourselves. But out here where we aren’t going to show anything but the utmost confidence

The boards know we are in pain and they feed on it, love it, we know that. That’s why you’ll never see any of that pain out in public to exploit.

For you all you get are all barrels firing, nonstop, all the time, 100% ALL IN

It's actually comical how some of them think the Panthers, as great a team as they have, are some outlaw badasses that the rest of the league is terrified of.

A month and a half ago, Domi, of all people, steamrolled Verhaeghe four minutes into a game. Schmidt tried to play tough guy and got absolutely fed by a welterweight. Where was Bennett and the big, bad Panthers?

That's right. They didn't do shit. (cue the Bennett scored twice and the Panthers won 3-2 replies)

I mean it’s not too late for revenge re:Lilly

Sounds like panthers fans understand that one good turn deserves another

Ottawa would had beat tampa the way both played... Tampa was the softness team i saw this year in playoff, between 65 to 80% of goal they allowed, they just just had been outworking...

What it is really harder to beat a team who had nothing to lose but gave up everything they had or the team who was not ready to pay the price for anything?
