It's ok bro, the Leafs have just been losing games since '67 for fun because we were "playing with our prey" we weren't even trying!
Yeah, because NHL teams f**k around and intentionally lose games in the playoffs. Happens all the time eh?

Nah, he's made a joke like this in the playoffs already. In before the Toronto media articles about, “Berube takes a shot at Willie Styles!!”
If you had read any of my posts. I’d say repeatedly that you are blowing this out of proportion (because obviously it fits your narrative, duh). The series is 2-2, in the playoffs there are ups and downs. I’ve never seen a ppg player be ripped as much as AM, same with Marner, etc. of course in leaf hater land the sky is falling, but I think most of our rational fans are waiting to see how this plays out. As speculated by many, Matthews likely playing with a broken wrist or something of the sort. To be ppg and playing through that says enough.Just so I'm clear, youre implying they dont deserve to be ripped for that performance? Do you think the leadership group is sound?
To be fair - the chances that tkachuk (who is extremely slow) catches Nylander is next to 0. He already tried it with Marner and failed miserably. In before the Toronto media articles about, “Berube takes a shot at Willie Styles!!”
Not worried about that, at all. It was all just trash talking trying to mess with his head. He’s not going out of his way trying to get after Nylander. To be fair - the chances that tkachuk (who is extremely slow) catches Nylander is next to 0. He already tried it with Marner and failed miserably.
Willy is probably the least likely on the entire team to give a singular f*** what he has to say to him too lolNot worried about that, at all. It was all just trash talking trying to mess with his head. He’s not going out of his way trying to get after Nylander.
not by accident, but it's pretty obvious that one of the two teams spent most of the year trying to make sure their players were as rested as possible for the playoffs and the other wasn't. Using the placement in the division to determine which team is better/should be favored is pretty foolish. The Leafs didn't finish where they did this season by accident.
The standard for Matthews exists because he's the highest paid player in the league, and has been up there on both his contracts. So sure being just a PPG player is fine on its own, but its not when you carry the cap hit he does and regresses every spring. When his peers are all stepping up, and even players worse than him become better. If you had read any of my posts. Of course when Matthews or anyone you’ve been crapping on has a big game - you’ll be nowhere to be found. Rinse and repeat.
Just a guess cause I haven't really looked but is it the availability of the buildings in Toronto and Florida?Panthers and Leafs have a two day break why? Pretty unfair to other teams remaining who are battling without any favoritism.
You going to say the same about the Caps and Canes?Panthers and Leafs have a two day break why? Pretty unfair to other teams remaining who are battling without any favoritism.

Wait, did you just say Marner has been atrocious defensively?Marner and Nylander meanwhile have been atrocious defensively and typically soft. Fly bys, avoiding the dirty areas, leaving the defence out to dry, avoiding contact.
I mean, a series win is more crucial for Leafs than it is for the Panthers, but lets not pretend that it has no importance for the Panthers. If they can make the final (or win this year) again, then you could start the argument that this Panthers team could become the next great dynasty in Hockey. A loss to the Leafs would kill any chances at that.I don't think that Florida play with any pressure. Winning this series is way more important for the Leafs than it is for the Panthers. Wouldn't be a big deal at tall for them and the fans if they lose. But Toronto...especially after leading 2-0....different story...
This is silly. Did Florida rest the whole season so that they could lose the first two games of this series?not by accident, but it's pretty obvious that one of the two teams spent most of the year trying to make sure their players were as rested as possible for the playoffs and the other wasn't. Yes. At least last game he was awful. Zero support on the defence, waiting at the top of the zone instead of helping outWait, did you just say Marner has been atrocious defensively?
Marner did have a controller disconnected moment in game 3. I'm surprised it wasn't in the photoshop thread.Wait, did you just say Marner has been atrocious defensively?
Generally speaking this series has been very even. Panthers were bad in game 1, Leafs were bad in game 4. The other two games were very close. Not sure how that is obvious.. Leafs were the better team first two games and the better team for at least half of game 3 that ended with an OT bounce.
Panthers have only been the undisputed better team once in game 4.

I said Panthers in 7 originally. Glad to see neither of these two teams are going down quietly
