I know, how does a poster forget what they posted one page ago 🤣

Let’s be reasonable. While I can only speak for myself, sometimes I say something and then forget what I said just ten minutes later. Happens all the time when I’m talking to my husband; I’ll say something and then he’ll respond by saying “that’s not what you said ten minutes ago.” And he’s right.

I know the Panthers forecheck was punishing, but holy shit, the Leafs D are getting crushed. Just relentless. Poor Tanev is taking a beating.

The funny thing is, the Leafs were really capitalizing with the odd man rushes in the first few games, and were even finding success with their own crash and bang forecheck. For some reason, that seemed to change last night. Did PMo adapt? Was the D using the half wall to get the puck out quicker? I know the hits were a lot closer last night, but the Leafs just didn't seem to have to same space as in Games 1-3, especially with the odd man rushes.

Or is it just me?
i think toronto honestly stunned the panthers

After Tampa most prob thought toronto would be an easy out and in classic panthers fashion tried to sleep walk their way through

Got dickslapped hard in both games, although almost came back in both

Reminded me of the oilers series where we were discombobulated and Bob was just terrible too

Also think the longer series goes, the better it becomes for the panthers as their grinding style starts adding up

The oddest thing this series is that both teams are elite on the road, and both goin 0-2 on the road has been interesting to say the least. Luckily toronto doesnt have to win a single road game to win where the panthers have to win one. Having home ice saved the panthers during the cup run, lets see if the leafs capitalize on it too

Was thinking of this last night as well. Been a very homer series.

We just seemed to have a lot more odd man rushes earlier in the series. I know 4 PP's in the first period didn't help, but it just didn't seem like we had the space last night.
Ya looks like the Panthers may have made a bit of an adjustment to the leafs sending a cherry picker behind the panthers D.

To me and I am sure this will be shouted down, Florida has taken over the NZ, we are back to keeping the correct gaps, and knocking pucks down at the blueline, when we are going good, that is a staple of the system we play. Helps to turn the play back up ice and allows us to quickly get in on the forecheck.

The forecheck is wearing the Leafs D down, and they are now hearing footsteps.

Did you miss the all the games or something

1) Bennett headshots Stolarz and concusses him, no penalty no suspension (Florida fans claiming a puck to the helmet like an hour before is what concussed him LOL)

2) Ekblad elbows Woll in the head, no penalty no suspension

3) Kulikov hits Holmberg in the head, no penalty no suspension

4) Kulikov elbows Marner in the head, no penalty no suspension

THEN

5) Domi boards Barkov at the end of the game, penalty called and fined by the league

This started in game 2 by Florida, not even upset with the Leafs or Domi's response tbh. If the league isn't going to protect the players and enforce the rules, at some point you have to do it yourself.
So convenient that any borderline hit by the Leafs in this series is completely ignored. Patches got a head shot in on Sturm, no penalty/suspension. McCabe has been boarding and cross checking players all series. No fine/suspension. The refs lost control of this series early on but lmao at acting like the leafs are the victim here.
Have you ever predicted a Florida series win?
He has not.
Very much almost all of this!!!

There should have been 3-4 suspensions already this series alone. In a misguided attempt for the league/refs to "not decide the series/games" they are doing exactly that. This series will likely come down to who loses the least amount of players due to cheap shots.
Yup. 3-4 suspensions on the panthers, but nothing on the poor victims in toronto. I do agree with the not deciding the game thing from the refs. They did exactly that when they swallowed the whistle in game one after Reinhart was tripped seconds before the Knies goal that ended up being the game winner. But you don't have the same energy for that do you?
To show you the hypocrisy of Panthers fans and the DoPS as well as provide context to the Domi hit

People are pretending like that hit just fell out of the sky, there was nothing leading up to it and Domi is some villain and the Panthers are innocent victims

Meanwhile they got away with 4 legitimate suspendable headshots so far in this series, that weren't even penalized

Fans like yourself keep trying to deflect from the numerous dirty hits your team makes on a nightly basis. You're more than welcome to discuss the game results, you won't find me complaining about the loss. Florida deserved the W last night, no question about it.

But why can't we discuss that the Panthers committed multiple headshots and should be disciplined for them ?

Just the fact that for like the 8th year in a row now the league has set the precedent that it is perfectly ok to head shot our players and not be penalized for it. Of course you wouldn't want to discuss that though, cause that would mean multiple Panthers players face suspensions.

For the record, Kadri got suspended for 2 entire series for the same hit (1 on Debrusk, 1 on Wingels), Bunting got 3 games for headshotting/elbowing Cernak 2 years ago

If Maurice and Barkov refuse to keep their dogs on a leash, and DoPS refuses to protect the players and do their job, the Panthers should be ready for the eventual retaliation.

You can't be seriously try to head hunt every single game and not expect anything in return.
4 suspendable head shots. LMAO

Bennett was a minor penalty at most with a horrible result. Sorry your goalie was hurt, but the contact was marginal at best, hope he's back on the ice soon.

absolutely LMAO at including the Ekblad and Marchand plays here. Ekblad is clearly trying to jump and catch the puck. Only a clown thinks that a penalty let alone a suspendable play. Marchand is entitled to chase the play there. He skates as close to the boards as possible and doesn't make any effort to move into Woll. Woll delays getting back to his crease and leaves himself open for that contact. A nothing play at best. You have always been off the deepend, but have gone way overboard this series.

The point is you guys act like everyone is afraid of Florida. They're fake though. Thats the point. Nobody is afraid of Tkachuk, Bennett or Marchand.

Maybe marner.
Again, multiple answer your question and you come back with "fake tough," then attack whatever poster calls out the post, wtf? It doesn't matter whether YOU think your team is or isn't afraid of Bennett, the fact is there's maybe 2 guys who can handle him on the ice that I can think of. That's outside of Greer and especially Gadjovich. Why don't you just relax and say "yeah, I hadn't thought of those guys" instead of carrying a narrative that's been proven massively incorrect?

Again. It doesn't matter that YOU think about the " toughness" of a Sam bennett. He is a rat and overrated. I can guarantee as soon as he joins the.leafs next season every single person on these boards will say the same thing.

Again, can't admit you were wrong in your assessment about Florida being the team in trouble should fights start.
Omg I never said they're in trouble . I said they're a bunch of hold me back bros because of marchand flipping his gloves off and being held back by a linesman. Tkatchuk does the same dirty crap too and Bennett. And ekblad too.

Sure, he's a rat. How is he overrated? You've done nothing to dispute the comments, just more carrying on. You brought it up, you were replied to, now it's all this other crap.

Again, back to the original post...why is a fighting game, or whatever you called it, bad for Florida?

"Who on Florida would even fight? Bunch of hold me back bros on Florida. You see marchand at the end lol linesman had no problems holding him back like a little kid."

this quote that got all these keyboard warriors searching for the domi Bennett fight and asking for ranges to dress lol

Gadjovich??

The Leafs aren’t scared of the panthers like other teams have been. If they want to start fighting it’s going to end very poorly for Florida.
Fair, got you confused somehow with this guy...apologies.

Still, they're not just hold me...whatever tf. They'll go when it merits the need to. Wish the went more, but I'm not willing to lose Benny to knock out the rest of Domi's teeth.

You asked, bunch of people answered. I mistook you awhile back, but you can't ask this and get all twisted because you get clobbered by answers.

To say sam bennett will fight is replying with Benoit. Benoit fight above his weight so he'd probably be OK against Bennett. My point is nobody is afraid of these guys. They're not a tom Wilson or lucic type guy

To fight. I'm pretty sure knies with 1 or two fight is his career is willing to go with Bennett or tkachuk at this point. I'd say he's physically tougher than domi.
Knies is too valuable to the Leafs to be going off for 5 for fighting, though.
Just like Bennett is to FL. It could happen, I guess.
