Insane day here in Toronto. Everyone talking like the series is over.

2 more games left... maybe.
Their half court game was always gonna be an issue ..Been talking about that for months....And if Bob stays this hot they have a goalie mismatch advantage as well....Long odds for T.O at this point....

The only good news is that the sample size left is small at this point.....You just never know what kind of random upset can happen when the smple size shrinks.........Again it's long odds but it''s better than being eliminated...........

I don’t think any team “wants it” more than the other or any of that stuff. Florida just plays a style of hockey that works really well against Toronto’s roster make-up and exploits their weaknesses. That, along with injuries, is a better explanation than players on the Leafs not wanting the Stanley Cup bad enough or some sort of mental block.

Only the last 3 years, he's 36 and has had an average career at best, it got so bad in Florida that they were trying to get out his contract, then out of nowhere 3 years ago he turned into who he is now, Woll has only played 78 games in the NHL he's still basically a rookie, lets see where thing are in a few years, remember Bobrovski was awful for much of his career.
3 years ago they started playing defense in front of him

It’s over for the Leafs. It will be time to rebuild from scratch.

Well, at least you don’t have to worry about any lightning bolts comin at you for saying that
I mean, gosh, I wouldn't want to offend the hockey gods. The sun god, the fire god...they can all eat a dick, but not the precious hockey gods!

Bobrovsky's "average career at best" includes two Vezina trophy wins. That's arguably Hall of Fame territory.

Flash's of brilliance with mediocrity and injuries, as stated it got so bad in Florida they were trying to get out of his contract, no question that he may be in the HOF now but, yes before 2023 average at best.

Both teams have injuries to key players.
It seems like every year Toronto runs up against a team that plays a style of hockey that exploits Toronto’s weaknesses. Washington, Boston, Columbus, Montreal, Tampa and now Florida. Those teams play different systems but the result is the same.
At some point it’s less about the opposition and more about the guys wearing the blue and white.

Good thing momentum doesn't exist between games. This is the same Florida team that lost three times in a row to Edmonton before winning, right? If ever there was momentum, it was in Edmonton's favour going into that game 7....
Florida scored four goals in the previous two games last year and headed home for game 7 where Toronto has scored 1 in their previous two games and going on the road. They aren’t the same.

Joseph Woll had significantly more NHL playoff experience before this series started. 7 career games for Woll, compared to 1 in his entire career for Stolarz.

This trope that Stolarz was some hall of fame level game-changing goalie is just an excuse to use because he got hurt and now the Leafs are spiraling. He wasn't even that good before the injury, just barely hit a .900 save percentage in 7 games.

The messaging going into the playoffs was that Toronto was equally confident with either goalie in net.
